I was walking to my room nearing the mid night hours. I had sent Anko to do whatever he wished while I worked on a new spell. I was exhausted and my bed was sounding heavenly right about now. I opened my door and looked onto my bed to see Anko and Zuzu kissing on my bed. Suddenly my bed was a small piece of hell. Their heads snapped to me and their eyes widen in horror.
"Don't speak, don't even breath." I snapped then put a finger to my mouth. I Shhhhhhh'd and it echoed off the walls of my room. "Now speak." I said with a long tired sigh.
"Helena, I'm sorry! I just couldn't ignore my feelings anymore. She's just like me!" Anko blurted.
"It is true! I have never meet a demon who made me feel so free." Lady Zuzu said full of conviction. I walked to my cushion and settled down on it.
"Great, what about your father or your intended mate? You think they'll let you call it all off and run into the sunset with each other?" I asked calmly.
"No.... I know we have no hope to be with each other. Yet I can't keep myself from him." She admitted.
"Helena, please don't tell. They'll have me killed and force Zuzu to watch before being forced to mate Lord Sesshomaru!" Anko begged.
"You fools, I don't need to tell on you. You'll get caught on your own eventually." I hissed.
"Help us, use your magic to help us. Please, I implore you. I am a demon, I am to live a very long time. I do not wish to suffer all that time." Zuzu begged.
"I'm a witch, not some fairy God mother! I can wave a magic wand and solve all your problems." I huffed. These two idiots don't know how fucked they are! Now their trying to get me dragged into it? I've been through enough in my short life. I'm just trying to reach finality! At this rate I'm better off doing it in the middle of the woods or something.
"Lord Sesshomaru trusts you! Please, tell Rin about our situation! He listens to her! Perhaps the two of you will be able to convince him to call of the mating! Please try Helena." Anko begged me with tears in his eyes. I shook my head at them and crossed my arms in front of me.
If I don't do anything disaster will surely fall before us. I will lose my familiar and I will lose my chance at my true familiar. Yet if I help them my neck will be put on the chopping block. I will ruin my chances with Lord Sesshomaru should I fail. "I guess I'm just going to have to not fail then." I muttered to myself.
"Will you help us?" Zuzu asked.
"Yes, I will help you but you will forfeit your bond with me." I said looking at Anko.
"Why?" He asked becoming hurt.
"Because you two will need to run off into the sunset after all said is done. I will not follow you so I will need to find another familiar." I explained.
"Alright, if that's is how it must be." He nodded his head. He was sadden by my request. He had come to actually see me as a friend. He admired my futuristic thinking and power. He loved Zuzu though, love is a powerful card that can trump anything.
"It must. Now, you two are not to see each other until I've convinced Lord Sesshomaru to call off the mating. Then you two are to leave the castle. You're on your own then. I would advise staying away from the West in the future." I said.
"How will you convince him?" She asked.
"I'll talk to Rin tomorrow. For now you will leave my room so I can sleep. I have had a hard day and I can feel many more to come." I said. She got off my bed and went to the door.
"Thank you Helena, you are a true friend." She said before closing my door.
"Thank you so much you don't.." Anko started but with a cold glare from me he quickly silenced himself.
"I am tired, don't make me change my mind." I said getting into my bed. He nodded his head and the light creature I made dimmed its light. Half way through the night I wandering through my third eye to Rin. I sat on her bed and placed a hand on her leg.
"Rin." My voice came out in a whisper. "Rin."
"Riki..." She asked in her sleep.
"No.... HELENA." I screamed making her jolt out of her sleep.
"Helena? What is it?" Rin asked looking around.
"Zuzu and Anko are in love with each other. I feel sympathy for them, will you help me convince our Lord to call of the ceremony?" I asked.
"I feel for them too but how?" She asked.
"I don't know yet but will you help me figure it out?" I admitted.
"In the morning." She agreed closing her eyes once again. I smiled and returned to my body. In the morning I was brought breakfast. Afterwards me and Rin meet up in the garden.
"So, have you thought of anything?" I asked her.
"No, I can't think of anything! Lord Sesshomaru won't want to call it off. His honor is at stake here." She said frowning down the the koi pond.
"We will think of something." I said looking up to the sky. How funny, now that I had the luxury of having friends I find that it is becoming quite the burden.
"Milady Rin, how are you today?" Riki asked coming up to us.
"Lord Riki! I wasn't expecting you!" Rin said gleefully.
"I wanted to surprise you." He said handing her a small box. She opened it up and gasped softly. She pulled out a thin chained necklace with a jewel flower. He took it from her and put it on her. "Do you like it?"
"Yes! It's beautiful." She said playing with the necklace. I took my leave of them after that. I went up to my study and opened up my book. I quickly found the spell of communication and preformed it.
"Shanti, I need guidance." I called out.
"Helena child how good to hear from you! How is your life in the past?" Shanti asked her voice ringing clear in my head.
"Complicated, I need some wisdom." I said.
"Well start from the beginning and work your way up to the issue. I've got all day." She said.
"Alright, here's how it all started..." I began.
