Barry POV

"Finally!" Kara spreads her arms into the air, inhaling the air. I grimace and laugh at her reaction.

"Kara, it was less than 6 hours." I tell her but she twirls around while the sun shines on her face. We just left the DEO. More accurately, the medical wing.
"Enjoy the little things..." She keeps her eyes close as if she's absorbing the sun's warmth.
"What's with the cheerfulness? " I ask her stepping close to her and crossing my hands over my chest.
"What's with the questions?" I shut up but the question lingers on my mind.
"You know what, I'll just follow your lead." I give away the doubt and start dancing with her on the park. We're jumping and twirling. People stare at us but I barely notice, having my full atention on Kara.
Kara's phone starts ringing and she stops dancing,  pulling her phone from her pocket.
The minute she picks up, she bits her lip in anguish. She holds a hand out for me to wait.
"It's Alex." Oh oh. She's so dead. I can only imagine how's she's lecturing her about not telling her about Lex Luthor and about not dying at the hands of a bomb that was supposed to kill her.
Kara's face says everything. The only one who can bend the steel in Supergirl is her sister and I secretly like to think that I can do that too.
"She's mad." She breathes out after hanging up. I nod in agreement.
"Is she gonna stay in Hawaii or she on her way back?" I question.
"She's staying with Maggie, thank God." Her voice sounds worried but soon the light in her eyes return.
"Let's grab some donuts!" Her smile dazzles me while she locks her arm in mine and drags me to the donut shop.

Kara POV

"Sorry I'm late." I tell Lena Luthor at the top floor of L Corp. The wind blows my hair on my face.
"It's okay." I hear her say but there's hesitation in her voice. The corner if her eyes seem tired and her smile's not there.
"Lena, are you okay?" I ask and step down from the edge of the building. Her arms are on her hips and I put my hand on her shoulder. She looks up at me with tears in her eyes.
"I'm trying to hate him. I really am. But he's my brother you know..." I bring my eyebrows together.
"Lena, it's okay. Trust me. I know how it feels." Astra's memory snaps open in my mind and I take a deep breath.
"I'm so sorry." I realize that she's not wondering out loud. I realize she has done something. Something bad.
"Lena, what did you do?" I remove my hand from her shoulder and she whimpers. I take a step back slowly, hoping he doesn't hop out of nowhere. She keeps sniffing and crying like she's been defeated.
"You should go." She croaks out. I leave the building while Lena Luthor hugs herself on the top floor of LCorp, tears on her cheeks.
---
"What did she do?" Winn asks me with both hand on his head like he's frustrated.
"I don't know." I lift my arms in surrender.
"We need to have a plan..." Winn wonders out loud.
"How can we if we don't know what advantage he has." I respond and turn my back to him.
"Kara." He starts. "If...if something happens, please run the other way. Please." His eyes are cautious and press my lips into a line.
"Winn, you know I can't do that." I shake my head.
"Just...try to make it home, all right?" I hug him and when I look over his shoulder, I can see that people all over the DEO are watching and nodding. It's as if their saying goodbye.
"I'll make it." I promise.
"Kara...even if you do make it. I'm sorry for what I say. You didnt kill MonEl. You saved him." I hear James from over my shoulder and I turn around to hug him.
"I'm glad I have my best friends back." It almost feels like I've reversed time.
Barry's light fills the room as he runs up to me.
"He's on Elora Street. " He announces and I get ready for battle.
---
"I knew you just couldn't resist." I hear him say. The streets quickly get disserted.
"Give me a break." I wave my hand dismissively.
"Wow! You're still alive!" His sarcasm is thick and I roll my eyes when he points at Barry.
"If I die, I'm taking you right down with me." Barry mutters. I smirk at him.
"But what about when she dies? I would bring hell to Earth wouldn't I?" That seems to rub Barry the wrong way and his eyes fill with streaks of lighting.
"Or maybe not. Maybe...I would be doing everyone a favor!" He shouts, but I still don't get what he's saying.
"The only favor we need is having you gone." I scowl. My fist clench up and I remeber how he almost broke me.
"That is your job." He releases a small low chuckle.
"My job is to protect those who need to be protected. You can still back off, Lex." I try to negotiate but a smile appears on his face. He shakes his head towards the ground.
"Maybe if you stopped seeing the good in people, you wouldn't get hurt that often. But maybe you're not the only one who needs to see the good in Supergirl. How about we see the other side." He pulls a shiny back stone from behind. The moment I lay my eyes on it, I know I'm screwed.
KalEl told me about it a while ago. Black Kryptonite is one of the rarest synthetic Kryptonites.
I can only be created by a genius like a Luthor. Like Lena Luthor.
My vision  turns completely white for a moment and I can feel something being pulled from me.
When I finally open my eyes, beside me I see another Kara.
Kal El did warned me about how black kryptonite has the ability to pull the side of you that lays in the dark. Your evil side.
"Hello, Kara." Her cold voice destroys the silence between us.

An Arrow musical needs to happen.  Just saying...
