Kara POV

"Kara lets go." Barry whispers from behind me, trying to pick me up from the ground while Im kneeling on the floor. The tears stopped minutes ago but I keep staring at the spot where my evil side was just removed from Earth.

I slowly stand up, my hair dripping with sweat. Barry puts his hands on my hips to help me up. The wailing sirens are the first thing I notice when I snap from my thoughts. The blue and white lights sting in my eyes. Cops fill the scene making sure no one's hurt because of me.
"Kara, common on." He ushers me as my eyes jump disoriented everywhere. My senses seem to dampen for a moment.
"What if I am her?" I rush the words out in a breath. He seems confused as to what Im saying but offers me a warm smile under the headlight's glow. Barry eventually gets what Im saying adn his smile wipes of, being replaced by worry in his eyes.
"No. Kara you're not her. I mean, you just beat her. You. Beat. Her." I look away in despair.
"The only reason I beat her was because I was not thinking about myself." I breathe out and press the hem of my fingers against my forehead. He doesn't get what Im saying. He doesn't know. He has no idea. He has no idea that the only reason I could beat her was because I was thinking about light. In other words about Barry Allen.
"Kara, i'll take you home, ok?" He combs my hair off my face with his fingers. I try to breath evenly but I want him to understand what Im saying. I want him to know. To know, Im in love with him.

Barry POV

"Want something to eat?" I ask Kara as soon as we get to her apartment. She nods her head no, looking at the ground. Her legs beside her in the couch. I watch her carefully, thinking about what she said back at the scene.

"You think Lex'll come back with that giant octopus thing again, or black kryptonite, or maybe..."She trails off as her eyes light up in shock after having a glance at the TV. She turns the volume up and I run beside her to see what's going on.

"Oh no." She puts a hand on her mouth sarcastically and I put my arms up in surrender, when I read the headlines: Supergirl gone Rouge?. There stands a news reporter in the scene where Kara just fought her dark side. In the background you can see firefighters and the police.

"The Girl of Steel has been spotted in the city fighting what might be another being of supernatural strength and abilities. Apparently the alien has been causing some controversial stir in the media after savagely destroying part of the city in a turmoil against what people claim to be her but in a black suit. This however, leads us to another questions, has our hero, Supergirl, gone rouge?" I turn off the TV and Kara has her eyes wide open, like someone just scared her.

"Wow, um. I haven't heard something so inaccurate but...okay." Her tone seems neutral and it surprises me that she doesn't care about what she just heard. She's not crying and she's not punching something. However, I haven't figured out why?

"Either way, I'm going to bed, ok?' She stands up from the couch and heads lazily to her bed. I watch her with my eyebrows furrowed and my mind twisted.

"Kara, are you okay?" She turns around and looks directly at me in a way that makes my heart stop. Not because I'm afraid or intimidated or nervous but her eyes show determination. Like they want to speak. Like they mean something.

"Yeah." She lies.

Kara POV

In the morning, my apartment seems silent, except for the fact that my heart has been thumping all night when I know Barry freaking Allen has been sleeping on the couch the whole night. It didnt bother me, in fact, it was thrilling but when you admit to yourself youre in love with someone its harder to think straight with them around.
