Stiles was currently waiting in Lydia's living room as she was still getting dressed for the road trip ahead. Instead of going on a plane, which they could've done, they decided to take a two-hour drive to the Stilinski's vacation house in San Diego. It was not only the most time efficient route but also allowed them to avoid the paparazzi.

Once the two entered the car, the bickering was never-ending. Lydia scolded Stiles for not following the directions that the GPS gave and they fought over the dial that controlled the temperature. Lydia was freezing in her white denim shorts and flowery tank-top while Stiles was sweating. In addition, the two argued over the radio station, until after forty-five minutes, they finally found a station that they agreed on.

After three rest-stops that served the purpose of getting away from the other and getting stuck on congested roads, they had finally arrived. They were immediately greeted by Stiles' Dad as he just returned with groceries inside his car. Stiles parked his Jeep and ran into his father's arms, taking him a bit off guard. "I missed you, Dad," Stiles mumbled into his chest.

"I missed you too." His Dad replied, slowly retracting from their embrace. After Stiles took a step away, his Dad saw a petite girl with strawberry blonde.

Lydia stepped forward, reaching her hand out, forgetting that she didn't need to introduce herself since she had met Stiles' Dad on multiple occasions when she was younger. Suddenly, Mr. Stilinski pulled the girl into a hug, causing Stiles to smile at the fact that his father was squishing her. "Lydia, it's so nice to see you in person again." His Dad released her to take a second look at her. "You grew up into a beautiful young lady not only with your appearance but also your words. That speech you delivered about body image most likely inspired many young girls. Stiles wasn't lying when he said that your words exhibited such a refinement and eloquence that just made your message stand out."

Lydia wore a smug smile and lifted one of her brows at Stiles. "Oh, really. This is the first I'm hearing of this," Lydia said, folding her arms across her chest.

"Oh yeah, he talked about you for fifteen minutes on the phone the other day," his Dad informed Lydia who was wearing a victorious smile.

"Dad! Dad, enough with the embarrassment, where are we staying?" Stiles questioned, trying to change the topic.

"In the room with the light blue walls. It's the last door on the right," he directed.

"Thank you, Mr. Stilinski," Lydia said, grabbing her purse and their pillows while Stiles carried his duffel and Lydia's luggage inside.

Once the two trotted to the top of the steps, they spotted their room. However, both were dismayed by the fact that there were two of them, but one bed. Lydia sighed collapsing her head onto the mattress and her arm exaggeratedly covered her eyes. "Why couldn't your father give us separate beds? Does he advocate sex between young adults?" Lydia lifted herself off of the bed. "Well, adult," which was a direct insult towards him.

Stiles huffed in annoyance, placing his hands on his hips. "Martin, we haven't even had lunch yet and you're already making me go crazy."

Lydia scoffed as she unpacked her suitcase. "Me? Make you go crazy? I believe it's the other way around, Stiles."

Stiles ignored her last response because he knew his efforts were futile.

The day continued with fourteen others of Stiles' relatives arriving. The Stilinski's had organized a game of tag football with Stiles, Lydia, and Stiles' fifteen-year-old cousin, Chase against Stiles' Dad, Stiles' twenty-eight-year-old cousin, Joel, and Stiles' thirty-four-year-old cousin, Patrick. Lydia had no problem in keeping up with the Stilinski's competitiveness. In fact, she managed to score a few touchdowns and assists.
