LA is the place to be in California. It is the center of the nation's film and television industry. There would be no industry without programs, like a television show. And every show needs characters, constructed and developed by writers. Thus, how well the writers accomplish their creation affects the relationship that the audience has with the show. Sometimes when writers design a complex character, a link is created between the two. This link can be formed because the audience aspires to be like a certain character or can relate to their troubles. However, you need actors to portray these characters, and the only way that you can find an actor is by holding auditions.

Today, auditions were being held in a stuffy audition room for a new television program.  Inside sat the creator and writer, Derek Hale, executive producer, Peter Hale, and another writer, Cora Hale. To her right was a common face seen on the big screen, Stiles Stilinski, and new-fledged actor, Isaac Lahey.

Derek picked up his bright yellow notepad along with his blue ballpoint pen and neatly sat them on the table. Isaac and Stiles were discussing last night's baseball game. Isaac was a Yankees fan while Stiles, on the other hand, was a hardcore Mets fan, so they mostly argued about the statistics and the plays.

Stiles and Isaac both were recently cast in the new up-and-coming drama series, Ropepoint, which leads to their presence in this audition room.  The show was a Scooby-Doo meets Stranger Things, along with a Goonies vibe, but none of the less still consisted of loads of drama in each of the character's personal lives.

Anyways, Stiles received the role as Landon, and Isaac was cast as Vince after they auditioned for it of course. Today the Hale family wanted the both of the actor's assistance in reading alongside potential actresses to portray the two female characters that still hadn't been cast.

Now, most actors would agree that one of the worst places to be is an audition room. It's tense, awkward, and completely nerve-wracking. One of the reasons being that there are people behind a table deciding whether you are good enough to get the part. They are silently judging you inside their brains, critiquing you in any and every way. They take into consideration your appearance, attitude, experience, and if you have the talent they are looking for.

Even though Stiles had been in this business for a while now, he still dreaded going to them. In fact, if it wasn't for his agent, who was also one of his closest friends dragging him into audition rooms, then his career wouldn't be anywhere close to where it was today.

Isaac and Stiles eventually stopped arguing about how the umpire's calls.  Then, Isaac decided to check out social media on his phone while Stiles flipped through his the script, looking it over.

Cora and Peter were in the middle of a small discussion, taking sips of coffee in between when Derek interrupted their conversation. "Let's start bringing people in. If we want to start production this week then we have to start auditions now. The only characters that we still need actresses for are Danielle and Gia, and we need them soon since they are both critical to tell the story."

Peter and Cora sighed, before taking their seats. Derek stepped out of the room for a moment to notify the person that moderates and controls the people auditioning in the other room that they were ready to begin. Derek returned to his seat after he turned on the camera. Then Derek placed his hand on Stiles' shoulder and whispered, "I can feel it. One of these girls is going to be your Danielle. I just know it." Stiles nodded in response, and then the first girl came in.

It was now two-thirty in the afternoon, and auditions had been going on for the past three hours. They were in the middle of finishing up their quick lunch break and were now on Girl #122.
