The cops were in the middle of investigating Lydia's money being stolen situation, having no current leads while Lydia returned back to set. She's been splitting her time between conducting her own investigation and finishing shooting Spider-Man.

The media was going nuts over the news of Carver leaving her, but she had to ignore it. The story would eventually die down and a scandal would break, turning their attention to something new, but for now, paparazzi had been circling around her house, so she had been staying with Allison and Scott. They welcomed her with open arms to their home. They were the best of friends she could ask for. Lydia even managed to get an annulment of the marriage due to the terms Carver and her ended on.

Today she was on the Spider-Man set. They were shooting the scene where MJ casually is walking down a street after coming back from a shopping trip. Then, her bags and purse are stolen in broad daylight. Spider-Man swings to the scene, but once he arrives MJ has already managed to knock the robber out.

The director positioned Stiles and Lydia as he repeated what kind of shot he envisioned for this scene. He sat down in his director's chair, calling action.

Peter was in his spidey suit, hiding his identity from her. After MJ knocked the robber down, Spider-Man shot webs at him, pinning him to the ground.

MJ flipped her hair as she turned around, realizing he was behind her.

Cockily he stated, "did I not do a good job rescuing you before?"

She shook her head. "I've been taking some self-defense classes. With my track record of getting into danger, I need them. Besides one of these days you might not be there to save me." This was the third encounter that Spider-Man and MJ had.

"Let's hope that's not the case." He then showed off slinging a web to bring her bags to him. Spider-Man walked towards her, handing them to her.

She smiled, looking up at him, studying the fabric of his mask to see if she could see through it. MJ was curious about him. His mysterious identity allowed him to have a double life, so she wanted to know who was the guy behind the mask.

She placed her hands against his chest, trailing her fingers up to the back of his mask. As she began to
peel the mask off, he stopped her when she was attempting to reach over his nose. He placed his hand on hers.  She looked up at him, leaning in to kiss him.

Spider-Man didn't pull away, savoring her watermelon flavored lips. It wasn't rough, but gentle. It was as if the world had frozen around them, capturing them in the kiss, something they were both willing to be held hostage of.

When she slowly fluttered her eyes open after they parted, he was gone, shooting a web away, watching from a building from afar the effect he had on her. She swiped her tongue against her lip, smiling. He put his mask back on, sighing at the fact that his first kiss with MJ wasn't as great as he expected. Their kiss exceeded his expectations as it was absolutely amazing.

The director, of course, had to film this scene in pieces, giving both actors time to rest in between.

Eventually, their day of filming came to an end, ending right on schedule.   There was no awkwardness between Stiles and Lydia after they slept together on Lydia's wedding night.  They were friends and neither one of them felt that rekindling their romance was a good idea, as Lydia wasn't emotionally ready to go from being in a relationship for over two years to dating her ex again.
