The origin of their troubles could, in fact, be pinpointed to a certain period of time or more specifically a person. It started with the wealthy son whose grandfather owned the Playboy's Mansion and a mother who was famous for being a reality television personnel favorite. When Stiles and Lydia first met him, they never predicted that what they believed to be an everlasting friendship could be undone by one person. If it wasn't for the two young teens attending the Kids Choice Awards After Party, then they would most likely still be friends today.
At the time, a young buzzcut Stiles only had eyes for one of his best friends, which he referred to as a strawberry blonde beauty. Stiles had been crushing on Lydia after puberty struck, but at this point of the story, his enticement with her had reached a peak. He wanted to express how he felt, but he was afraid that she wouldn't see him as more than just a flirty best friend. Ultimately, fear of rejection led Stiles to keep his feelings for her in the dark.
Then he swooped in, interrupting the conversation between Stiles and Lydia. It was Danny Mahealani who rocked their friendship boat, leading to its destruction. With a confident smile and his poignant cologne, Danny furthered the distance between the two. He introduced himself to the young teens, smirking at Lydia.
That smirk. No correction, that boy was trouble and his smirk was the lighter to Lydia's cigarette. After one, just one inhale of smoke, she was hooked. After that smirk, from that point forward, Lydia diverted her attention to Danny. Danny. Danny. Danny. He was the Hollywood dream guy that girl's wanted to be with. He was sweet and treated Lydia well. Danny was definitely one of the most memorable guy's Lydia had dated. He was her first boyfriend, but not her first love. Danny couldn't have been her first love because for the five months that they were together they never exchanged a single "I love you." This was mainly because neither one of them felt that way for the other since their raging hormones never had the inclination to profess their love for one another.
When Danny and Lydia dated, he slowly began to replace Stiles as one of the closest guys in Lydia's life, leading to Stiles and Lydia spending less time together.
However, the undisturbed waters of Danny's and Lydia's were relationship were no more, after Hysteria Divison was scheduled to perform for the public for the first time. Stiles, Scott, and Theo were finally going to debut their band at Exit Stop, a popular hangout spot for up and coming actors, models, and artists in the making.
After killing their first gig, the three went backstage where Lydia and Danny told them that they would wait for them. They didn't tell a lie, but they didn't mention the context of how they would meet up either. Danny had Lydia pinned up against the wall, sloppily kissing the circumference of her lips and skin right above Lydia's breasts while he clutched it in his palm. Then, Lydia forcibly pushed Danny's jaw down so his lips would find her's once she saw Stiles through the corner of her eye. Lydia loudly heaved away from Danny's face with a smile dancing on her mouth. She then turned to Stiles along with the rest of Hysteria Divison to congratulate them.
Now, keeping in mind that these events occurred in 2011, their fashion was atrocious compared to today's stylish looks. Lydia was wearing a charcoal fedora with a red feather attached, along with a white tank top with a cat on it. A portion of her tank top was covered by the thick black suspenders that were fastened to her high-waisted gray striped shorts, and underneath were her fishnet stockings. Whereas, Stiles was wearing a shirt with Smalls from The Sandlot on top of a plaid dress shirt and dark green jeans, all of which did not match.
