Scott and Lydia were sitting by the windows at the coffee house that Stiles had gotten her into, the one that was combined with a bookstore and a floristry. She had become a regular there ever since she has resurfaced out of her cave. That place made her feel connected to him even though he was away. It kept her centered.

"Have you talked to him?" Lydia asked nosily.  She was wearing a white t-shirt and medium wash capris.  Lydia pushed a stray hair behind her ear where her sunglasses rested in her hair, waiting for him to respond.

"Yeah, I talked to him three days ago. Have you?" Scott was placing the lid back onto his small coffee after loading it up with sugar.

"Nope," she sighed. After Lydia lazily stirred sweetener into her coffee, she found her finger tracing around the rim.

"Is he not answering your calls?" Scott was confused on the lack of communication between the two. Just like Lydia, Stiles wasn't putting any effort into reaching out to her either.

"No, I've been waiting for him to call, but he's done nothing," Lydia said defeated, feeling as the idea of contacting him was pointless.

Then Scott began to reason with her, connecting the dots to why he hasn't called her. "Lydia, he's not going to call you if you said that you wanted space. You're going to have to take matters into your own hands." He advised. Stiles was just trying to respect Lydia's wishes, throwing the ball into her court, encouraging her to make a move.

"I sent him a voicemail and he never responded after that." Once again Lydia was beaten. It was like an endless cycle of her revisiting what she should do, but ended up taking no further action. Therefore she just let it eat away at her.

"Yeah, Allison was telling me. What did you even say to him? Did you tell him that you were about to leave your life in LA to go away with him?" Scott was curious and if he wasn't an actor, he would've made a hell of a guidance counselor, seeing as he always tried to help people solve their problems.

"No, Scott. I think destiny has a way of working and if it wanted me to get on that plane then I would've." Lydia took another sip of her coffee as she hadn't had a good nights sleep in weeks even after reconnecting with her close co-stars. If it wasn't for the layers of makeup she wore, you could tell that the young actress was sleep deprived.

"Lydia, you sound like you don't want to be with him anymore!" Out of all parties involved, Scott seemed the most concerned about the couple's future status. While Stiles and Lydia sulked alone rather than video-chatting to each other.

"Well, Scott maybe I don't! I mean I thought that we were going to last this time. A part of me thought that our friendship ended so long ago because we weren't meant to be with each other at that time as we needed to grow. And over these past few weeks, I've been thinking that maybe we weren't supposed to be together at all." The whole idea of fate and karma was embedded into Lydia's mind. As crazy as it sounds, she listened to it more than her heart.

"You know that's not true. He's in love with you and you're in love with him, so it should work. Once you get passed this then everything will be okay again." Lydia stood up, hugging Scott. "You're a good friend, you know that?"

"You aren't so bad yourself he said." Before letting go of each other.

"So are you excited for your birthday tonight?"

"Yeah, totally," he smiled. Scott knew what she was fishing for, so without wasting any time he got right to the point. "Stiles said that he can't come because he has to shoot. Anyways I better go I have a session with my personal trainer soon and just call Stiles. See you tonight," He then gave her a chaste kiss on the cheek, before walking out.
