The morning was slow and boring with not much to be done around the tower. In times like that, you preferred to go out and find entertainment. Ross approached while you packed a small bag of essentials.

"We need some more food, are you going out?" He asked.

"Yeah, you need me to go hunting?"

"Yeah our meat supply is getting low, so bring back as much as you can carry." He nodded. "Do you want any help?"

"No thanks, I'd rather be alone. I'll be heading North. Remember, if I'm not back by sunset..." you began.

"Organize a search party." Ross finished. You smiled and saluted him before leaving the tower. You began walking North from there and shot every feral hound and mirelurk you saw. Eventually you were walking along the water and 5 Mirelurks popped out of the dirt. You climbed up onto a trash can and shot until they were all dead.

You collected the meat and continued walking, still heading directly North. For awhile you didn't see any creatures, so you walked slowly and got lost in the colors of the sky. Living in the Commonwealth was no cake walk, but it was much easier with your friends by your side. You all had been truly put to the test, but in the end you were happy with the way things turned out. You had a beautiful daughter with the guy you loved, and you couldn't wait to start training them.

Of course you were worried when you thought of taking them from the safety of the tower, but they needed to know about and see the world they live in. Bit by bit it was improving. Settlements banding together, helping each other. Of course the minutemen too, there to help with their strongest fighters.

Suddenly, your thoughts were interrupted when a feral hound threw itself against your leg. It gnawed at your ankle and sunk its mangled teeth into your skin. You hollered in pain and quickly shot the animal dead. You spun around to look for more, since they tend to travel in packs. You spotted 3 more running towards you, and shot them before they could reach you.

Realizing all the meat you were carrying was too heavy to take back to the tower, you decided to take them to the nearest settlement. As you reached their gate, your ankle started hurting and you noticed you forgot to bandage it. On you limped and sold some of the meat except for the one that bit you, you had special plans for that guy. While at the settlement still you asked for a bandage and wrapped your ankle before sticking it back in your shoe and moving on.

You checked the sky and started walking back. Without distractions, you would surely make it back before sunset. About halfway back, you were caught off guard when two pairs of hands lifted you off the ground and pulled a bag over your head. You pulled out your knife and swung around but somebody grabbed it out of your hand. They then tied your wrists together and hit you on the back of your head which knocked you out cold.
