Barney opened the door and walked over to the table. He didn't say anything at first, just looked over you. It was like his superpower, he could usually analyze injuries without even touching the person. This caused Max to huff and hold your hand.

"Alright general, looks like we have to amputate." He announced.

"Amputate what? My head?" You huffed.

"Only kidding, only kidding. Okay, let's take off your shoes." He moved to the foot of the bed and carefully took off your shoes and blood soaked socks. The sight made you cringe and it was pretty hard to make you cringe. There was a hole about half an inch wide on the top of your foot and the bottom hole was about twice as large. Barney grabbed the thread and quickly stitched up the holes in both of your feet. He said that your thick socks acted like bandages in stopping the blood, but you probably would have bled out if you hadn't got home any sooner.

"Here, a souvenir." Barney chuckled, pulling a bullet shell from your shoe and placing it on the medical table. You glanced at it then shifted your gaze back to the gray ceiling. He finished cleaning your feet then moved up to your arms. He removed the bandages that Max put there about an hour ago, and replaced them with clean ones. He got some ice for your swollen eye and advised you use it on your cheeks too since they looked red still. As you nursed those injuries, Barney grabbed some cream for your burns. After that he looked at your head. He checked the back and saw a small bump back there.

Finally he was done and went over the extent of everything with you. He said no walking for at least 2 weeks, and continue applying cream and ice. He also said you probably have a concussion. For a concussion, you couldn't do much besides just rest and take medication for the pain. You groaned when he mentioned resting. You were a woman of action, not lazing around in bed all day. It sounded like Adam would have to take your place for a couple of weeks. You knew he'd do a great job though.

Max picked you up off the med table and carried you into your bedroom. He gently set you on the bed and pulled the blanket over your body. He sat next to you and stroked your hair.

"If you need anything sweetie, let one of us know." He leaned down to kiss your forehead.

"Thanks...I'm just tired right now." You yawned. He left the room to give you some quiet. You got comfortable and fell into a deep sleep.
