((I'm so so sorry I left this story for so long. I just moved into my new apartment for school and I didn't do much the first couple days. I promise I'll get myself back on a regular schedule of updating. I'm thinking Wednesdays and Sundays. Please don't hate me. Onto the next chapter!))
The next morning was so hectic. Alesa and Morgan helped you in the kitchen cooking and baking while the guys kept the kids busy. Your daughter was dressed in a pretty maroon dress and a sparkly tiara. You helped her braid her hair that morning and she was so excited about everything. She wouldn't stop talking about getting to shoot a gun.
As a parent, that worried you. But you knew she was responsible enough to use a firearm if the situation called for it. But you told the kids that the party came first, then you would train them with the guns and other weapons. So there you were, cooking breakfast first. Pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs were on the menu. Once they were done, you three took the food to the tables and everyone started eating.
The food was good and you got many compliments on it. Then you told Adam and Max to take them for a short walk outside while you made a cake with Alesa. Morgan wrapped their presents once they had left. Finally the cake was done, so you set it out to cool. Alesa found the candles and she iced it then put in the candles. You wrote "Happy 10th birthday Mason and (daughters name)!" Once you were finished, you put it out on the table. The candles just needed to be lit. Finally, everything was set up and you told the guys the kids could come back in.
They both ran inside the dining room, full of excitement. They both sat in front of the cake and awed over its decoration. You walked over once the others were seated and lit the candles.
"1...2...3. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you..." everyone sang. Once the song was completed, they both leaned in to blow out the candles and everyone clapped.
"Presents now!!" You cheered. Adam and Max brought over the colorfully wrapped boxes, and set them on the table. You helped the kids pick out the ones labeled with their names, and they both began opening their presents one at a time. Your daughters' eyes widened once she unwrapped her final present, from Max and you. It was a leather holster with her name engraved on it. In the holster was a brand new, shiny 10mm pistol.
"This is the same type of pistol I used when I started exploring the commonwealth." You smiled. She looked up at you and smiled back. Her eyes shimmering with delight. Then Mason opened his final present. It was pretty much the same thing, except his had his name engraved on his holster. After eating slices of cake and scoops of ice cream, you, Adam, Max, and Alesa sat down to talk with the kids. You told them this was a big responsibility and they need to use these guns for good. You said they would be learning how to use them soon and until the lessons began, their guns had to be left in the gun range. They agreed and excitedly asked when they'd get to start lessons. You told them as soon as possible, but it was late and they should return to bed. So gathering their presents except for the guns, they headed to their rooms for bed. You took their guns and put them in the gun range for the time being, then went to bed.
