Skylar's P.O.V.
Today's Thursday. I usually don't mind Thursdays, who would? It's like the motivation day of the week. When you feel proud for making it most of the way and all you have to do is make it to tomorrow. Then you get your prize. The weekend.
Well today is even better than usual because all I can think about are the events from the beach last night.
I like Grayson. Grayson likes me. Carter likes Spencer. Spencer likes Carter. Isaac likes his phone. His phone-
"No!"
-Had just died.
"It's fine Zay, you can charge it when you get home." I tell him.
"But what am I supposed to do until then!? I need my baby!" He exclaims.
"Wow... You have completely lost it."
"Hey! It's hard losing someone you love! Imagine if Grayson just died."
"Get back to me when I could charge him and in an hour he'd be fine." I reply with a smirk.
I slam my locker and start walking away, Isaac trails behind me, pleading for his phone to turn on.
"But Grayson's always with you. Imagine going hours without him."
"I lived seventeen years without him. And besides, he's not with me right now." I point out.
"He will be soon." He says confidently.
I turn to him and see that's he's smiling widely. He knows something...
I shake off the thought and continue walking to class. English Literature with Mrs. Sanders is up next. I have that class with all of the guys and Spencer. It's the best class of the day if you ask me.
"You're up to something... And I don't want to find out what." I say as I walk into the classroom.
I turn my attention away from the phone-obsessed freak and glance around the classroom.
Some people are smirking and grinning. Some girls are giving me jealous looks. Most of the guys who hadn't noticed me before are checking me out. What is with everyone today?
It's as if everyone knows something I don't. I look to the teacher, and she too has a suspicious look on her face.
Well isn't that just flipping fantastic.
I shoot them a weird look and walk to my seat in the back of the room. Grayson, who sits next to me, gives me an excited smile.
"Hey, Princess!" He leans over and kisses my cheek.
"Hey. What's going on with everyone." I whisper.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He says dismissively.
I give him a confused look, I'm about to push the topic further, but am soon interrupted by the teacher starting class.
"Good morning class. So today we're studying plays. This will be a rather fun lesson if I do say so myself." She winks at no one in particular. "I've gotten you out of all your classes up to lunch. You'll be spending that time here. We'll read up on Shakespearean plays along with other famous writers. We will then create our own play, written by all of us together, about a topic I will tell you later. This play will be performed at lunch, on the cafeteria stage. The entire student body will see so please make it good."
My eyes widen and my jaw drops to the floor.
The entire student body!? I only know eight people at this school! And four of them hate me! How am I supposed to put on a play in front of everyone?
