Skylar's P.O.V.
Well. The universe is a bitch.
Here I am. Eight o'clock in the morning. At school.
"Stupid universe with its stupid laws about stupid education at a stupid school with stupid teachers and stupid students and stupid classes." I grumble to myself as Grayson and I walk through the halls.
"Princess. You need to calm down." Oops. I guess he heard me.
"I'm sorry! It's just so... So-"
"Stupid?" He finishes with a smirk.
I nod and turn the dial on my lock, popping it open as he watches me in amusement.
"Don't you have something better to do than stare at me?" I ask, slightly irritated.
"Nope."
I roll my eyes and pull the necessary books out of my locker, shoving them into Grayson's arms.
He raises an eyebrow at me and I smirk in return.
"Well you're obviously not going to leave me alone. You might as well make yourself useful."
He scoffs and hands me the smaller book, while he tucks two of the heavier ones under his left arm, draping his other one over my shoulders. I flash him a goofy grin and he chuckles softly.
Walking to class, we received stares from everyone. It's nothing new, I've been getting deadly glares from girls ever since I started dating Grayson. Along with perverted looks and comments from the guys.
I may be used to it, but it's still creepy. It just makes me a bit uncomfortable. Oh well, I'll survive.
Grayson notices my uneasiness and uses his eyes to shoot daggers at anyone staring. I giggle softly as everyone turns around in fear.
I reach my hand up and squeeze his, which is positioned over my shoulders. He looks down at me and his expression softens, I peck his cheek and his cold stare turns into an adorable smile.
"Whipped." Carter says as he falls into step next to me.
"Hmm... And how's Sparter going?" I ask with a smirk.
He remains facing forward, but I don't miss the small smile playing on his lips.
"It's definitely going." He says quietly.
I squeal excitedly, earning a few strange looks. Grayson chuckles at me and kisses my temple, but I swat him away.
"Shhh! I'm trying to hear about my best friend's love story."
He scoffs and moves his arm from my shoulders to my waist.
"You're living a love story, Princess. What makes theirs so interesting?"
"They're adorable! And it's so cute watching them." I gush.
"You sound like Spencer when we first met." He points out.
"And look how we turned out. I ship Sparter, and trust me, my ship has sailed."
Carter laughs beside me, along with Grayson. I glare playfully at them and they soon regain their composure.
We fall into a comfortable silence as we walk the rest down the halls. We continue to get the occasional stares, but I just ignore them.
"Why do I always feel the urge to kiss her?" Carter asks, more to himself.
"Because you like her. Duh." I reply. "And why don't you? You know, kiss her? It's not like it's her first kiss."
He visibly tenses at this and his eyes turn two shades darker.
