Skylar's P.O.V.

"Skylar! Wait!" I hear a voice shout behind me as I run through the halls.

"Go away Isaac!" I yell back.

"Sky, listen to me, please." He says while grabbing my wrist.

"What do you want?"

I yank my hand out of his hold and cross my arms. He sighs and runs a hand through his hair.

"Grayson didn't kiss her back. It all just happened so quickly. I promise you, it only lasted for a millisecond before he shoved her away, and he's yelling at her for it as we speak. You know he loves you, he wouldn't do that."

"I know he wouldn't." I say. "That's not even the problem."

"Then what is the problem?"

"It just sucks. I mean, even if he didn't kiss her back, this honestly proves how easily he could if he wanted to. It's just hard to see someone you love, kissing someone else." I let out a humorless laugh. "Let alone your worst bully."

"So you're... Not mad at Grayson?" He asks.

"No, of course not, I know he loves me. But just imagine it," I say. "Like, if you had a girlfriend who you loved more than anything. Then you saw someone else kiss her, even if she didn't kiss back. It would still suck to watch. It's like witnessing someone take what's yours, what you can't live without."

"I get it, it's not so much of betrayal as just plain shock. But both include pain." He concludes.

"Yep. Betrayal comes later. Fourth period to be exact."

He raises an eyebrow in confusion, encouraging me to explain.

"Before you guys started the show, Britney told me she was here because Grayson called her for sex in the janitors closet during fourth period. So, if he doesn't show up..."

"Then you know where he is." Isaac finishes.

"Exactly. So I just need a little while to process everything and get over it. And I'll hopefully see him in fourth period. I trust him, there's not a doubt in my mind that he'll be there. But for now, I just need a little space."

He sighs and nods his head, patting me on the back twice before walking back down the hall where he came from.

Once he's out of my sight, I trudge to my locker and pull out the books I need for first period. I don't have Grayson in any classes until fourth period, so it shouldn't be too hard avoiding him.

He is in my second period English literature class, but he never shows up to that one anyways.

I walk to the classroom, hoping to get there before the bell rings. I'm not in the mood to fight my way through a crowd of horny teenagers.

Sitting down in my usual seat near the back of the room, I pull out a book to pass time. A few minutes later the bell sounds through the building and students begin piling in.

I find myself zone out as the teacher starts roll call, thinking about nothing, but everything at the same time. That made zero sense. I've finally lost my mind...

"Michaels." The teacher snaps me out of my trance.

"Here." I raise my hand.

As Ms. Maria wraps up the attendance, my thoughts begin to drift once again.

I just can't stop picturing that stupid kiss. I should have ridden with them in the show. Who cares about the attention? I need to keep crazy bitches from sucking my boyfriend's face off!
