Grayson's P.O.V.

It's currently the most dreadful time of the day. That's right. Fourth period. One of only two classes that I don't have the pleasure of attending with Skylar.

This class is much worse than first period- the other class I have without her- because it's the two hours leading into lunch.

So, I get to sit silently in this stupid, uncomfortable chair, deep in thought about my next possible encounter with Sky.

She was a total mess after the argument with Luke, but somehow managed to bounce back to her usual self by the time we started second period.

Although, all throughout that class, random people- who still haven't earned a name in my book- began whispering unknown things to her.

I pushed, and prodded, and begged for her to tell me what they had said, but she wouldn't budge.

Whatever it was, had definitely taken a toll on her already fragile mood.

Shock was evident in her expression when she had first heard whatever it was that they told her. Though it quickly shifted to an awful combination of sadness, anger, frustration, and pain.

I hate seeing her like this, but she still won't tell me what's wrong, or even what I can do to help.

In fact, she hasn't spoken a word since the first whisper. She's just stared off into space, either thinking, or trying not to at all.

But at this point, it doesn't matter. All that matters, is that she's okay. She deserves to be okay. I need her to be okay.

Finally, the last tauntingly slow few minutes pass by, and I'm released from one of hell's torture chambers.

I all but sprint through the halls on my way to Skylar's class. If I counted correctly, she should be about two corners from her last period.

The North hall!

With that thought running through my mind, I quicken my pace, dodging any students who appear to be taking a leisurely stroll.

A moment or two later, I come into the designated hallway. And surely enough, Skylar happens to be walking with Spencer and Carter trailing behind her.

"Skylar!" I call.

I jog up tiredly and fall into step beside her, shooting the others a questioning look.

They only shrug in response, a frown displayed clearly on each of their faces. Isaac soon joins us, followed by Elliot, both of which just as confused as everyone else here.

Sky continues to walk in silence, seemingly determined to complete some sort of mission.

I grab her hand, carefully pulling her to a stop in the practically empty hall.

"Princess, what's going on?" I asks softly.

She shakes her head, a single tear escaping from her eye.

"She told, Grayson. She told everyone. Everyone knows. She-"

"Hey, hey." I cut her off from her panicked explanation, wiping away a tear or two that had escaped. "Who told everyone what?"

"Skylar?"

We turn our attention to the little, blonde sophomore as she looks up to Sky softly.

Skylar clears her throat and looks at her knowingly. "Yes?"

"I-I'm Tina. Is it true that y-you were abused by your father?"

My jaw drops at the rather blunt and impolite question, though I stay silent to let Sky handle it.
