In which they have known each other for 20 years.

A different kind of style. I'm still trying to figure it out what style I like the most. I hope you enjoy this song-fic kinda chapter😊

Do you remember? We were only 4 when we first met. You were with two other kids, both older then you. I assumed they were your brothers. In little Josh's mind there was not such thing as an  older friend. Or two friends for that matter.

You came to me and asked me why I was alone, and where my parents were. They always said I was a brainy kid and really mature for my age.

I didn't want to  tell you the real reason, thus I only said:" I didn't feel like bringing them with me so I left them at home."

In reality, they never had much time for me becuse of business-trips or just work in general.

You smiled at me and quickly changed the topic. We played hide and seak. When it was getting darker, you asked me if I  wanted to be friends with you. I said yes.

Never have I thought this would change my life drastically. In the best way as possible.

"Days when we'd fight,
We'd fight 'til I would give in
Yeah, perfect disasters
We were reaching, reaching for the rafters

And on most of the days
We were searching for ways
To get up and get out of the town that we were raised,
Yeah, 'cause we were done"

And on most of the days we were spending as much time  as possible together. We always had our little meet-ups at the same playground,
where we first met.

You were a kid full of beans. I was quite the opposite, albeit I  still managed to keep up with your silly things.

After a year or two, we had our first fight. You didn't understand why  I made a new friend when I had you. You were jealous, but I didn't care. We were not in the same kindergarten, I felt lonely. I was mad at you, you had another friend too, and I never complained about him.

We made it up after a week.

~
Luckily when primary school came we ended up not only in the same school, but in the same class.

You got to know the kid you were jealous about. His name was Tobi. We
made other friends aswell.   According to them you and me were inseperatable.

I guess they were right.

When we were 9 I had less time to visit you or vice versa. Your family moved to the other side of town,  you started to go to a different school. It was hard for the both of us, but we managed.

Half a year without meeting you. You asked your brother to drive you to our house to surprise me.

You did suprise me. Not just with turning up unexpectedly at my door. You did something that I will never forget.

You kissed me. On the lips.

 I was shocked.

You were so innocent. You said your brother told you this was the way to show someone how much you love them. You asked me if you did something wrong. I just told you to not do that to anyone. You said you would never, because I was the only one who deserved it. You didn't know what that meant. I did.

On your 15th birthday it happened again. Now it was my turn to kiss you.
You had a party with all of  our friends. We played a weak-headed game of truth or dare. That's not the time when it happened tho'.
