When Simon was starting to be awake he could feel a warm body pressed against his own, arms wrapped around him tightly. He slowly opened his eyes, stifling a yawn, as he observed the laying figure attached to him. Josh's head was  nuzzled close to the blonde boy's chest, as his left arm was resting on his stomach, since Josh was laying on his side as Simon was on his back.

Simon smiled, reminiscing how they ended up there. This was the second time when he'd fallen asleep in Josh's arms, however, the first time he's done it  to his soothing voice as he told him a bed time story. Now, he had no idea what the time was, or how much he'd slept, but he couldn't care less.

He brought his right hand up to the brunette's face and carefully placed his fingers into his hair, twirling some strands around his long thin fingers slowly, avoiding to pull them, so Josh wouldn't wake up. Although the movements were gentle, the bearded man stirred in his sleep, opening his hazel eyes, meeting Simon's ocean blue ones.

"Hi." The blonde smiled, not even considering to stop what he was doing, or to remove his left hand from around the brunette's shoulder.

Josh didn't mind it though, smiling back. "Hey." His voice was still raspy a bit, and Simon couldn't help to tighten his grip on the former's body. "What time is it?"

The lanky boy leaned over the brunette to snatch his phone from the coffee table. The screen lit up way too bright for his liking, informing him that it was  the next day already.

"3 am." Simon told him, dumping his device somewhere onto the beanbags nearby.

Josh let out a tiny whimper, not in the mood for talking.

"Remember when you told me a bed time story?" Simon asked in a low tone, getting back into his orginal position.

The couch was somehow rather comfortable, even after sleeping on it for 2 hours in such a cramped way.

The brunette hummed, meeting Simon's gaze, then resting his head on his chest again.

"What if I told you one now?" Simon suggested, caressing his back slowly.

"Go for it." Josh chuckled, this being the longest sentence that he said thorugh the whole time they'd been up.

"Okay. Uh... How do I start this?" Simon realised now that he didn't think this whole thing through properly.

Coming up with a story out of the blue wasn't always the easiest task, let alone when you're brain is was properly working from fatigue and drowsiness. Simon had to think hard. What would Josh like?

Memes.

That's it.

There was no day when the two didn't send each other at least one meme, or showed one to one another, during their meals together or whenever they met in the house. Simon hit the Jackpot, he thought as he took a deep breath to start.

"So, once upon a time, there was a bear. This bear had a beautiful, loving family, a son and a wife. One day the whole family went out for a walk, leaving their lunch on the table, since it was still steaming hot, and needed time to cool down. When they finally arrived home, their food was gone."

Josh grasped Simon's t-shirt, letting out a chuckle, murmuring 'I swear to god..'

Simon gave him a cheeky smile, knowing that Josh was fully aware of what he was doing.

"So, where was I...?" The blonde trailed off, running a hand through Josh's hair again. " Oh yeah. So their food was gone. The dad was the first one to notice that, shouting: 'Somebody touch my spaghet' with and Italian accent mixed with a German one."

Josh snorted at that, Simon joining in with his giggles. The latter cleared his throat, to continue.

"The kid told him that his was gone too, and his chair was broken. The three of them hurried into their bedroom to look for the culprit. Walking in, they saw a small girl laying in the son's bed, the father lifted up the blanket, then he shouted: 'It has a head, but no body.'

Josh was fully awake now, cracking up from each word that Simon said.
"This won't make me fall asleep easier, just for you know." He managed to get out after a few minutes of laughing without a single sound coming out of his mouth.

"Doesn't matter anymore." Simon chuckled, pulling Josh slightly closer to his body. "Let me finish this at least."

"Fine."

"It turned out that there was a hole in the bedstead, and the girl was standing behind the bed, so her head was through that, and she in deed had a body. The father bear asked her if she'd touched his spaghet, and when the answer was yes, the son protested against him escorting her out. 'Oh papi, let  the hoe stay' he-"

A laud laugh errupted from Josh's mouth, clutching his stomach, he would've fallen off the bed if Simon wasn't holding him tight.

"He.. He says 'her' not 'hoe'. Oh my god..." Josh told him between giggles, making Simon snicker as well.

"Really?" Simon asked in fake disbelief, trying to calm down.

"Really." Josh nodded grinning up at him, thanks to their laying position.

"I could've made this better." The blonde hummed, tapping his chin in thought.

"When the question so deep, you have to pull a thinking emoji in real life." The brunette commented, making Simon lose his shit once again.

"I don't know if I should hate or love you for this." Simon countered, shaking his head as he evened out his breathing.

"You should love me." Josh chuckled glancing up at him to see his reaction.

Simon met his gaze, giving him a smirk as he spoke up. "Well I could've made it better by saying 'somebody  touch my boyfriend' in which the boyfriend hides from the other boyfriend, making the latter worried sick."

The brunette raised an eyebrow at that with a small smile. "Glad you didn't. Poor boyfriends."

Simon smiled, wetting his lips, and without thinking he blurted out. "Speaking of which... I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me..?"

The uncertanity of his tone made himself cringe. He gave an apologetic smile to Josh for sounding weird and for asking it in the first place.

Josh was taken aback by that for a few seconds. Now he was very well aware of their closeness and Simon's cheerful facial expression forming into rather sad one, he had to do something.

So he did what he thought was the best.

He kissed him.

He slowly, but confidently, pressed his lips against his, closing his eyes and cupping Simon's cheek.

"Fuck yes." He smiled, caressing Simon's cheek that he was holding.

"Good, because things would've been awkward between us for the rest of our lives." The blonde chuckled glancing at Josh's lips. "But for now, we should really try to sleep."

"Yeah... How about my room? This couch is nice, but I'm more than sure that waking up here would be hell in the morning." Josh said thinking out loud, noticing Simon's eyes on his mouth so he pecked his lips.

"Your room then."

And this was the story about how two oblivious boys got together by the help of Stranger Things and a meme.
