I never thought I would have to write this down, but...  This contains mild Ksimon.

Enjoy 🙃.

Playing the match-maker between your crush and one of your questionable friends, is not quite the most  greatful task. However, Josh did it. He helped his somewhat friend JJ, ask out his long-time crush a few months ago.

The dark skinned boy always knew that Josh was good with these type of things. Being romantic, buying gifts for people, just to make them happy; so he turned to him for help.

Josh was gay. He's always been and was not the one to hide that fact. JJ on the other hand wasn't. He was a rather popular guy in school, who cared too much about his reputation, student life-wise of course. But when he realized that one of his mates was truly beautiful,  he couldn't do much else other than blowing away his cover, and try to get into his good books. And he was not capable of doing that on his own. So that's why he needed Josh. Another friend, more of an acquaintance really, who was on good terms with him.

Before  telling him his intentions, he befriended him and actually became his real friend. Then he came out to him and asked him if he could help him with getting into Simon Minter's pants. Well not with those words, but it pretty much meant the same, or had that hidden message behind it.

First Josh didn't want to. I mean, who would want to help someone who they just barely got to know, to start dating the one who had been on their own mind for god knows how long? No one.

He kept thinking about it, feeling like a horrible person for not helping him the first time he's asked. Josh was too kind for his own good. He had to give in eventually,  setting up a dream date for the two, that he's always dreamed of.

He was aware of his chances with the blonde. It was nearly zero, that's the main reason why he helped JJ in the first place. He wanted to make Simon happy. To see him smile every day and it did not matter that he was not the one who caused it. As long as he was happy, Josh was happy. Because "If you love him, let him go", that's what they all say, right?

Simon liked JJ, he never knew he did before he asked him out. When he that happened he was very suprised. Firstly didn't want to go, then finally changed his mind. The date was perfect.  Pizza after a few hours of bowling,  then a peaceful walk in one of Josh's favourite parks and a smoothie, followed by an unexpected kiss.

The couple was happy. For a few days at least. Then the problems started to come. JJ had no idea how to keep Simon happy. With girls it was easy for him. He took them out to the cinema or a café once or twice then let them go, but with Simon he wanted something more.

Josh kept coming up with dates for them, reminding JJ when Simon's birthday came up, or if there was something to celebrate. Giving him ideas when to surprise him, how to treat him when he felt down. It was like Josh knew more about the two's relationship more than JJ did.

"Hey Josh." Simon plopped down next to the brunette in the cafeteria, tea in hand.

"Hi." Josh glanced up at him with a faint smile, already knowing what was about to come.

But it didn't come. The usual rant about JJ being a perfect boyfriend and a precious human being, who needs to  be practically worshipped. Despite more than  half of it not being true, Simon was rather oblivious to that and kept telling his newfound friend how much he loved him.

"Josh, can I talk to you about something?" Simon's cheery tone changed drastically to a serious one, his soft facial expression fading.

"Sure." Josh murmured in a quavering tone, eyes not leaving his French fries.
