3rd POV

Simon visited his parents on Saturday. They lived in a small town, not far from London. Instead of his car he decided to go by bus.

In the morning the sun was shining, the birds were chirping. There was no sign of rain.

The whole day was amazing. Spending time with his parents and brothers was a rare occasion for him.
~

It was time for him to go home.

The nearest bus stop was half a mile away from the house.

He stated walking when suddenly he felt a raindrop on top of his head. And another one. And another one. They kept falling, as he sped up his steps towards the bus stop.

He didn't have an umbrella, but at least he was wearing a hoodie, which helped him a little bit.

When he turned left on the corner of the street with the bus stop, he didn't believe his eyes.

The bus was closing its doors.

He started running for it, but before he could reach it, the driver has already started it's engine and drove off.

He looked at his watch. The bus came earlier then it should've. He checked the schedule to see when the next one is coming. It was 21:29 and the next one was supposed to come at 10pm.

The bus stop was small. There was a bench, where he could've sat down,  but it didn't have anything above it a roof, a lid  or anything which could protect someone from soaking.

The shops were all closed due to the time. There wasn't a soul around.

He was shiverring. He knew he most likely got a cold from standing there.

He looked at his watch again.  Only 2 minutes had passed but for him it felt like an eternity.

He heard footsteps. Someone stopped next to him. He didn't dare to look up. It could've been a serial killer, a freak or worse.

The figure beside him cleared their throat.

" Are you okay?" Simon only nodded.

" You don't seem like it. Here, take my umbrella." The lanky boy finally turned his head to see the suspiciously kind stranger.

" Thanks for your kindness, but I can't take it. You are going to soak if I do so."

"I won't if we go under it together." For some reason he didn't hesitate and linked his elbows with the dark haired man.

" So, which bus are you waiting for?"

" The one which goes to London."

" Um. That won't come till tomorrow morning."

" What? The schedule says there's one which comes at 10pm."

"Yeah, on weekdays."

" Fuck my life." Simon sighed frustrated. "There are no such things like taxis or Uber around here, are there?"

"No... But  I live nearby, only 2 streets away from here. I can take you up for the night."

" Are you sure?  We don't even know each other."

" I am 100% sure. You seem like a nice guy. "

Simon's fears of the boy unexpectedly stabbing him vanished, when he flashed the most beautiful smile he's ever seen, at him.

" I'm Josh by the way."

"Simon." They shook hands under the umbrella.

" Can we go?"

"Sure."

Josh opened the door of his small house.

" Not a mansion I know, but make yourself at home."

" Its really cozy in here, with the fireplace and everything." Simon looked around.

" Oh yeah, Hang on, I'm going to give you some spare clothes."

He dissapeard upstairs for a few minutes then came back with joggers, underwear, a T-shirt and a hoodie.

" There's the bathroom, you can take a shower if you want, or just change your clothes."

" Thank you.  I think I'll take a shower. Where can I find a towel?"

Josh opened the bathroom door,  put the clothes down on his  cabinet, then opened it and took out a red towel for Simon.

" Yell if you need anything." With that he left Simon to shower.

While the blonde was showering, Josh was making hot chocolate for them. He put logs into the fireplace and searched for some blankets.

" I'm done." Simon announced.

" Good. Sit down on the sofa. Warm up a little." The boy obeyed.

Josh came back with the hot drinks and gave one to Simon.

"Thank you."

"No problem."

Josh wrapped a blanket around his new acquaintance.

"Why are you so nice to me? How do you know I won't steal your stuff whilst you're sleeping?"

" You wouldn't have said that if that was your pourpose."

"True, but still."

" You looked broken in the rain. I wanted to help."

" I was just freezing." He took a sip from his drink. " But if you didn't come I would be still there."

Josh nodded and got up to check the fire in the fireplace.

"Why were you out there anyway?"

" I like to go for a walk every day. This town is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a walk. And it wasn't raining when I left."

It felt like they knew each other for years. The silence between them wasn't uncomfortable at all.

" How old are you?" Josh already had a guess, but wanted to know for sure.

"24. You?" His guess was right.

"Same."

"You look like a " big city guy". Why do you live in such a small town?"

" I used to live in London, but I had to move out from my flat because the original owner wanted it back. This used to be my weekend house, but I like it here."

" I see why."

" I would've gave you a ride home if my car wasn't in service."

" I have a car too, but I thought I'd take the bus for once. I would say it was my worst idea ever, but in that case I wouldn't have met you."

" I don't have a guest-room, so you can sleep in my bedroom and I'll sleep here."

"No. I'll sleep here. I'm the guest and you  had done so much for me already."

" Or if you don't mind we can sleep together in my bed."

"Cool."

They chatted about anything and everything until it was time for them to go to bed.
~
The boys laid down next to each other.

" Josh, can I tell you something?"

" Go for it."

" I like you." Said Simon not looking into Josh's eyes.

" I like you to Simon." Smiled Josh.

" No Josh. I meant I like like you."

" Where are we in kindergarten?" Simon hid his face in his hands. Josh removed them and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

" Si, I like like you too."
