It hurt for Josh aswell. Of course it did. He walked towards Tobi's flat, his eyes glued to the streets under his feet.

He knocked twice on his door, hoping that his friend would hear him and he didn't have to ring the bell.

Without a minute or two, Tobi's head peaked out from behind the wooden frame.

"Hey Josh.. Woah." His huge smile disappeared as he noticed Josh's expression. "Are you okay? Come on in."

He stepped aside letting his friend in then closed the door behind them.

"I-I've done it."  Josh managed to get out, his throat drier than a desert so he had to clear it afterwards.

"You've done what?" Tobi asked in a caring tone as  they both sat down in the living-room.

"I.. I broke up with him."

Tobi's mouth was hanging open for a few seconds as he tried to take this in.

"I'm so sorry Josh. But you did the right thing." He smiled sadly at him and hugged him tightly.

"Can I crash at your place? Just for a few days till I can find myself a flat." Josh asked him uncertanity visible in his voice.

"Of course. You can stay as long as you need to." Tobi nodded with genuine smile. "But Josh."

"Hm?"

"How could you break up with someone that you were not in a relationship with?"

Three days had passed and it was not  getting better.

Tobi's question lingered in Josh's head, just like a catchy song that you can't stop humming. This kept his mind occupied every single day, until he could fall asleep.

He had dreams about Simon; beautiful dreams where they were happy together as a  the perfect couple that they always wanted to be.
And that was the moment when he realised what Tobi had meant.

They were never officially a couple.

"Tobi, I fucked up." Josh ran out of the guest room that he was staying in, right into the half-asleep boy's room.

"Woah Josh, chill. What's wrong?" Tobi sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Sorry for waking you up." He apologized with a sheepish smile.

"It's okay, I wasn't sleeping anymore anyways. I was on my phone." Tobi informed him, patting the bed next to him. "Sit and spill."

Josh obeyed taking a seat next to his friend. "I love him Tobi."

"Yes, and?"

"What do you mean yes? I didn't know this shit till now." Josh raised an eyebrow at him gasping.

"What? How?" Tobi was close to face palming, but he had to keep his shit together so he wouldn't snap at his miserable best friend.

"I just, never knew I could love him like that. He's a guy Tobi."
