Simon woke up in front of his computer in the middle off the night. He remembered that he was in a call with a couple off his friends earlier that night, so he looked up to find them still chilling in one of their voice channels on Discord.

Due to his own headphones not being plugged in anymore, he couldn't hear what they're saying. So he decided to jump back on and eavesdrop for  a bit. But for his 'luck' the guys instantly noticed that he was there.

"Ayyy, Simon mate! You fell asleep?" Jack shouted, making him feel like his eardrums were bleeding.

"Oh, hi. You're back." Vik said sleepily,  a smile visible in his tone.

"Supp, boo?" Ethan giggled almost knocking over something, or at least that's what Simon assumed hearing a clinking noise.

"Hey, guys. Yeah I think I did and my headphones fell off. What's the topic?"

The blonde rubbed his eyes repeatedly, trying to adjust the light of his monitor's screen.

Everyone started shouting things at the same time, making it impossible for Simon to work out what they were saying. Classic group call.

"Chill out." He said after they hushed a bit. "I don't know what any of you said."

"Why?" They all asked in sync, which made Simon sigh deeply.

"Because you are all damn boisterous." He mumbled clearing his throat. "And Harry, hi, by the way."

"Sorry man, forgot to greet you." The youngest of them chuckled.

They all erupted in laughter so there was no point on asking them the same question again, however Simon stayed in the call, but clicked off the voice channel to check out if they'd wrote something useful in their general channel. He scrolled up until the point he left and started reading the messages slowly.

Memes, yeah.. Gay jokes.. Very funny.. Wait cinema? He thought to himself speaking up afterwards.
"Guys, what is this movie that you were talking about in the chat?"

"Oh that my friend, is a new movie that is fantastic !" Jack chirped. "Almost everyone is coming  with us who is on this server, to see it tomorrow."

"What?" Simon asked out loud in confusion.

Although there were at least 15 people on the server including them, like ten never even came up or talked to them. That was impossible that they managed to rope them in.

"Yeah, even Peter,  Thomas and all that lot." Ethan hummed. "You coming Si?"

"I'm not sure yet."

It was currently Friday,  which meant school so he logged off after a few minutes and fell back asleep, on his bed this time.

The day was awful for Simon, since he was worn out due to  the lack of sleep. He  somehow managed to keep his eyes open during every lesson.

But when he arrived at home and went only something unusal caught his eyes. A friend request from Josh, a guy who went to same school as him and  attended some same classes as him and was also on their Discord server for some reason, but he'd never said 'hi' to him in his entirely life, which made Simon hate him a tiny bit.. They even had a stare-down once when he was standing in a bus stop waiting for his bus, as  he passed him, their eyes locked till Josh was out of sight.

He kind of understood why he didn't like him, because he used to date his best friend Victoria and he assumed that their break up made Josh  feel hatred towards him. Rumour had it that she still loved him after all this time, despite the fact that they only dated for less than two months and Simon never really felt the same way towards her.
