My dad and I walk through a path passing tropical trees and flowers until we reach a gazebo. its has lights strung across it, some tables, a mini stage, a dance floor, and a buffet area. There are some people here and the live band is setting up for the dinner. The gazebo is sitting on the beach with stairs leading down onto the white sands. I stand beside my dad taking it all in, soon a man approaches us, "hello Jeffrey," the man says addressing my father. "Ahh Clyde, how are you?" my father says.

"I am well, thank you." My father turns to me, "Sara this is my new client, we have just started working together. Clyde this is my daughter Sara."

"Hello, nice to meet you," I say with a smile offering my hand. Clyde takes it and shakes it once. "How old are you?" the man asks. "I am 17 sir, going into grade 12,"I reply

"well," he laughs. "My son is the same age, he should be around here somewhere," he says looking around. "How are the son and wife?" yy father asks. This sparks a conversation I grow board of and decide to go explore. I grab some food, eating it while walking, I find at a table and finish my plate. Wanting a drink I get up and make my way to the bar to get a virgin pina colada. I bump into someone while walking to get my drink.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," I say the person I ran into's back. The person turns around as I am walking away. "Sara?" the voice asked. I turn and am met with chocolate eyes. The same chocolate eyes I had sworn off a day before.

"Ahh Sara," Clyde says approaching me. "I see you have met my son, Jason," he says patting Jason on the back.

"Yes sir, we actually already know each other," I say looking to my lace-up sandal heels.

"Really?" Clyde looks to his son for an answer.

"Yes, father, Sara and I go to the same school." Shock is apparent on Clyde's face.

He finally sobers ups from the shock, "Well then, you to have a fun time." he says walking towards my father yelling to him that Jason and I go to the same school.

"Soo," Jason says. "That's your dad?" he points to my father who is now whispering to Jason's father sharing quick glances at us.

"ya," I say. "Well, i was actually going to get a drink. Soo," I say turning to leave.

"I'll come with you, I'm feeling a little parched myself." I simply just nod as he follows me to the bar. "Its funny how we are both here, in Hawaii, at the same event." I nod taking my drink from the bartender.

"ya, what a coincidence," I say dryly. I can't do this. I don't like him, was repeating constantly in my head. Though the chocolate eyes kept calling to me. Dragging me deeper into the sea of Jason. A day ago I had finally gotten to the shore of my feelings, I was free to walk away. Although now, it felt like a wave had sucked me into the water again. I was trying to swim away, swim away from him, from my feelings. "Dance with me," he said extending his hand toward me. I look to the dance floor and back to him, and take his hand. I am no longer swimming, I am drowning.
