The flight was good. Well, as good it could have been, given it was multiple hours on a small plane where you're confined by your small seat. I was thankful for land and the walk around the airport. The first thing I did was text my girls, getting immediate responses.

"Your bitch is back and town and ready to fuck shit up" my text read. The responses were along the lines of "yes bitch" and "my baby is back" it then leads into discussions of when we were going to get together. I was going to see Jessica, tomorrow and the rest of them later. I think we were going to go to the mall. I am so excited to see my girls.

There is so much I have to tell them, but right now I just was to sleep. My dad handed me my suitcase off the conveyor belt and we left the airport. We jumped into a taxi and made our way home. In the taxi, I remembered someone who I forgot to text when I landed. I pull out my phone and text Ethan "I'm home" then slide my phone back into my pocket and look out the window, taking into the surroundings of home. We eventually pull up to my house. It was nothing special. With a cute grey exterior and a manicured lawn.

My dad and I jump out of the taxi and make our way into our house. I turn on the lights and throw my stuff onto the sofa.

"Are those my two favorite people?" my mom asked, exiting the living room.

"Mama!" I walk over to her and hug her. She gives me a hug with a kiss on the cheek.

"How was the trip? I want to know everything!" she says dragging me into the kitchen. "I just baked some fresh cookies as a celebration for you coming home." I sit at the kitchen table and watch my mom and dad greet each other. My mom was supposed to come on this trip, although she had an important business trip herself she couldn't miss.

My parents decided Hawaii was more exciting than Texas, so my dad took me on his. Nonetheless, it was a good bonding experience. My mom and I have always been close, and having time to just spend with my dad was good for our relationship. Especially with me going to university next year.

"It was so amazing mom, I can't even explain how beautiful it is there, and the weather, oh my god it's so hot," I say after my mom comes to sit with me.

"Your dad told me you had a friend there," she says and I almost choked on the cookie I was eating.

"Um ..yes," I say wiping the crumbs off my face. "How much did dad tell you?" I question her.

"Almost everything... I heard that it didn't end well with you two," she says with a sad look.

"No, turns out the love of my entire high school life, is a dick," we both laugh and continue into a careless conversation. I share stories from my trip and she tells me about the drama with Karen getting drunk and dancing on the table during her business trip. We decide to call it a night at 11 pm home time, meaning it was only 5 pm in Honolulu, Hawaii. Although I was really tired from all the flying so without unpacking, I just change into my pajamas and flop into my bed.

I look at my phone and see a text from Ethan. "Welcome back," it says. I read it and decide I'm too tired to respond, so I put my phone away and close my eyes. Smelling my clean sheets and feeling my body sink into the mattress I have known since I was 6 relaxes me and I fall asleep almost immediately.

Hey, the world is really crazy right now. I'm hoping I will use my time productively and write. But really only time will tell. I am quarantined for 14 days, like many other people. I'm planning on really getting my life together. I'm going to clean my closet, write, do the school work I'm behind on, and just destress. What are you guys doing in these interesting times?
