Jennifer's POV
"Make sure you took your medicine. I don't need you making a scene here. Don't ever embarrass me Jennifer, I'm fucking telling you and you'll see" Gino whisper yelled on my ear, I look at him in the eye and nodded. "Understood?" He repeated, "yes" I mutter. Right...like that would be totally my fault. We made it here at Cancun and we are currently being driven down to the private resort and hotel we're staying at.
Shortly after, we arrived at the place. And boy, this is marvelous. Everything looks so pretty, the tall palm tress everywhere. Turquoise colored water splashing against the sand and big rocks. Sunshine goes along with the ambiance as well. A total paradise, it's like a dream. I'm in love with this place. Everyone checked in to the hotel we'll be staying out to get settled, I unpacked my bags and put some tanning lotion. Gino was already outside the beach. A moment later, I followed them downstairs. The girls along with Tiana and Loren started taking their clothes off leaving them in their colorful bikinis.
Leah on the other side though seems having trouble walking. She just sat down and admired the view, not dipping on the water.
I walked to Leah and sat beside her. "Hey, you look good today" Leah says, she's wearing her sunglasses. Wow, it's been a while since I've receive constant compliment, I got used with every insulting words Gino threw at me. "Thanks, you look nice as well...why aren't you swimming though?" I ask, "Uhm, I kinda got shot yesterday- well not really. Just a cut on my shoulder so I can't do much but it's fine" she says and I'm half shocked. She's talking about it like it's no big deal. "What?! Why didn't you tell anyone, everybody was worried about you earlier, Leah!" I said, "It's part of my job so It's fine really nothing serious. I got it all stitched up" she smiles, "Can I see?" I bit my lip unsurely. I wanted to kick myself for asking that, I'm just so random sometimes. "You know you're the only person who always wanted to see everything, every time I share something" she started laughing and it took me second to realized, she's right. I'm always curious to what's she's gonna say. It's funny but I'm a bit embarrassed. "Oh-" she cuts me off immediately, "I'm kidding! Hey, I'm glad I get to know you. I love how you took time to listen to people" she said. I let out a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry if I'm annoying sometimes-"
"What? You are not, Jennifer. Stop being silly. I liked that, it's nice to have a friend ya know? Why would you thought you're annoying?"
"Sorry, I just really get curious if I'm interested." I mutter nervously, "well you are not. are you sure you wanna see this?" She jokes, referring to her shoulder. "Is it bad?" "Not really" she says, removing her cardigan. Theres a patch over her right shoulder, she carefully took the gauze pad off. And it looks pretty bad. "It's stitched up so I'll be fine maybe I can dip in the water later" she smiled, "your job is dangerous!!" I exclaimed, "are you really okay?" I question. "Yes, don't worry about me, silly! Why don't you swim now? The weather looks good" she changes the topic, "Maybe later, can I go with you later?" I regret asking that. I'm stupid. "Sure, are you sure though? It could take a while" "of course" I said, "okay, we could talk for a while. Okay c'mon why don't we play a game. I'll ask you a question and you can only pick one from two options" she bit her lip, looking excited.
Oh, this is exciting.
"Okay, I guess I could swing that" I began sitting indian style, facing Leah across the other bench. We are under of a huge umbrellas, the waiter then later served us drink which we gladly took.
She sips in her watermelon drink before speaking.
"Okay, I'll ask you ten questions but you must quickly answer, got it?" She begins, I nodded. "Okay here we go"
