"thank you aunt sherri," drew smiles at his aunt as she passes him a plate full of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and stuffing - but no cranberry sauce because it's gross. "drew, abby's on the phone for you," momma calls from the living room. drew runs to the phone and takes the phone. "make it quick, your family doesn't come over often," momma whispers as she hands him the phone.drew nods and holds the cold phone up to his ear, "hey-o abby!"
"hey-o drew! is your family over?"
"yes! and all my cousins came! i told them all about you and clayton."
"awesome! well i just wanted to tell you... i am thankful we're best friends."
drew feels his cheeks warm, "i am thankful we're best friends too, abby."
abby pauses, "good. i have to go, my dad's calling me. bye drew!"
"bye abby."
