drew lights his cigarette as he sits at the base of the rock in the lake. he hands the purple lighter back to henry, whose perched on the top of the rock, cigarette hanging from his lip.
he lights the end and throws the lighter to his bike and backpack across the lake, "so have you met your moms boyfriend?"
drew glares up at him, "we were having such a nice time. how dare you bring that up." henry chuckles, "sorry, sorry! okay then different subject. umm, how's things with suzy?"
drew throws his head back, "oh my god! even worse!" henry laughs out smoke, "well!"
drew shakes his head and takes a drag, "i don't know man. she's been giving me the silent treatment since last day of school when she saw me hugging abby. she's so possessive!" he exclaims as he kicks the water.
"hmm. well you go ahead and take your frustrations out on the lake. he'll be okay i think, but hey what do you think about the new kid on the team? asher?"
drew holds his cigarette in between his teeth as he lowers himself into the lake. he looks up at henry, "the midfielder?"
henry smashes his bud in between two rocks, "yeah him." he jumps off the rock and swims over to drew.
"he plays pretty well. why?" drew soaks his bud and throws it into a bush on the shore. he dips his head under water for one last time then walks onto the shore.
henry sighs, "no reason." he follows drew out to their pile of stuff. drew looks at henry then laughs bending over for his towel, "we really should've brought trunks."
henry chuckles, "we really should have. i dont know what we were thinking."
