"So if you ever need something, don't ask me." I said

She nodded at me and stood awkwardly. I sat down on the couch and turned on the tv. A few minutes later and she was still standing. I rolled my eyes and shook me head.

"Why are you just standing there!?" I said annoyed

"I don't know what to do!" She said

"I don't care just go somewhere else you're distracting me." I said as I turned off the tv trying to stay calm

She looked at me and shrugged. I was getting frustrated with her.

"Do you want to go to the garden in the yard? Do you want to watch tv? Play video games? Go to the park? Go to your room and stay on your phone? What you normally do after school or on the weekends." I said

"I'll just go to the garden." She said as she pointed to the backdoor

I slumped back on the couch as she went out the door. I glanced out the window to see that she was sitting on the old swing. I went back to the couch and continued watching tv.

After around an hour I went back to check on her. She was still on the swing. I stayed there to see what she's doing. Isn't a bit cold outside?

"Nice view huh." A voice said

I jumped from the sudden scare and turned around to see my mom. I put my hand on my heart feeling my racing heart.

"You scared me, when did you even come back?" I asked

"I was standing here for five minutes. You were too distracted by your lovely wife." My mom laughed

"No I wasn't, I was just wondering what the hell was she up to. And she's not my wife yet." I said and cleared my throat feeling awkward

"Whatever you say." She smiled

"That is what happened." I yelled

"You sure?" She smirked and walked off to her room

I groaned and rolled my eyes going back to watch tv. I heard the back door open so I quickly stood up. Victoria walked in and closed the door.

"It was getting a bit cold outside." She said as she rubbed her two hands together

"The weather is still cold outside you shouldn't have stayed out so long idiot." I sighed

She walked in and sat on the couch beside me. My mother walked into the living room smirking. I rolled my eyes knowing what she was thinking about.

"So, did you see those new clothes I got you?" She smiled

"Oh yeah! Thank you so much, you really shouldn't have." Victoria said as she stood up

"I wanted to experience getting clothes for a daughter. I've always wanted a daughter." She smiled as she walked over to Victoria and hugged her

I rolled my eyes at how my mother was acting. Why was she being all sweet to this weird brat.

"Oh don't be jealous, you'll get her all to yourself soon." My mom joked

"No thank you I'm fine." I said

"Well, I'll get going so you two get some alone time." My mom walked away chuckling

I looked at Victoria who was still standing smiling.

"What are you laughing at?" I said

"Nothing." She said as she sat back down on the couch

I rolled my eyes and got off the couch to head back to my room. This is going to be the longest week of my life.
