Victoria

I woke up without anyone knocking on the door this time. I stretched my hands and legs before jumping off the bed. After I washed up and changed my clothes, I left downstairs to have breakfast. When I entered the dining room, no one was there.

"Where is everyone?" I whispered to myself

I left the dining room and headed to the kitchen only to be surprised by Sehun's presence there. He was wearing sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt that was pulled a quarter way up. It looked like... he was trying to cook?

I watched as he tried his best to measure everything perfectly. It was truly a sad sight to see. I couldn't help but wonder why he wouldn't simply ask his maid to do it? My brows furrowed as I tried to make out what the hell he was trying to conjure with that mess.

"Alright, let me help out." I sighed as I shooed him out of the way

He turned around with a surprised expression, only now noticing my presence. He sighed and put his phone on the counter.

"I regret doing this." He groaned

"Why did you?" I chuckled

"I didn't think it to be so hard, I mean I saw you make it yesterday." He rubbed his nape

I stifled in a laugh knowing he would just walk out and leave me do all the cooking. I took a deep breath in an attempt to control my laughter.

"Alright so, I've been cooking for quite some time. And I doubt you've ever even boiled water." I said putting on a smile

"You're lucky I have no energy for you today." He glared

"Fine I'll make it, but you have to help me out too." I said

"According to you, I don't even know how to boil water so I guess I gotta leave all the cooking to you." He mocked

I ignored his words and continued on, "Let's start from scratch. First step, get out the ingredients you need." I raised a brow at him

"I already did that, if you would just use your eyes to look around." He rolled his eyes

I took a quick glance at my surroundings but, all I could see was a big mess.

"Alright then," I shook my head with a sigh, "put two cups of flour in here." I said as I pointed to the mixing bowl, "and add baking powder, sugar, and butter." I said

"And are you just going to sit and watch?" He raised his brows

I rolled my eyes at his words before I turned to face him with a forced smile, "I'll be working on something else."

A few minutes of silence passed as we worked on our little cooking task. But of course it only lasted a few minutes before Sehun began complaining again.

"Hey, come here and figure out what the hell is wrong with this." He turned to me, hand on his hip

I furrowed my brows as I walked up to him. The batter looked perfect, "it's ready."

"Finally, last time I do this." He muttered under his breath

"Can you to put a little amount of the mix onto the frying pan. Or should I show you how to?" I asked

"I know how to." He rolled his eyes

I clenched my jaw in annoyance, "Then I guess you can do this on your own." I stepped away from the pan

"Come stand right here." He spoke with a frustrated tone

Why is he irritated when it was his idea in the first place?

"You're quite helpless without me." I crossed my arms

A few seconds of silence passed once I processed my words. San raised a brow at me, eyeing me weirdly.

"Helpless?"

My face slightly reddened in embarrassment at my choice of words, "not in that sense. You know what I mean." I turned away

He shook his head before bringing his focus back onto the mix. He looked back at me and pointed to the pancake mix with his head. I rolled my eyes and walked over to him and placed a small amount and placed it onto the frying pan. I flipped it up and down a little bit till it looked ready to eat. I moved it onto a plate and held it towards Sehun.

"Wanna try it?"

He took a small piece at first, tasting it before taking the whole thing in his hand. The corners of my lips curved upward in satisfaction.

"It's alright, but I'm hungry so." He shrugged with his mouth full of the pancake

"Now try to make one." I said moving aside from the frying pan

He cleared his throat and stepped closer to the frying pan, copying what I did. He managed to get a perfectly round shape onto the pan, which only raised his ego. He gave me a smug look.

"Don't let the pancakes burn." I rolled my eyes

He quickly shifted his focus back onto the pancake and, well, tries his best. But it turned out pretty well in the end.

I won't ever admit to him, but he's not bad for his first time. But then again he has an amazing mentor.

We sat down to eat after the pankcakes were ready. Sehun happily brought out all the toppings they had. It ended up being a pretty quiet meal, no one spoke, until he suddenly cleared this throat.

"So uh, the food you made yesterday," He started, making me look up at him, "I ate it, it was good." He nodded

I kept looking at him, waiting on him to say more. When he didn't I simply exhaled and picked up my fork again.

"That's good." I mumbled

He glanced up at me for a second, sensing my sudden mood switch before he rolled his eyes.

"Alright, I'm sorry." He groaned before dropping his head, and eyes, down to his food

I secretly grinned, knowing he has a hard time apologizing to anyone. I nodded in acceptance of his apology before continuing my breakfast.

"Also, your parents are coming back tonight so you should start packing your things." He said

"Okay." I nodded

I placed my plate in the sink after I was done with my meal. Without looking back at Sehun, I went up to my room to start packing.

I couldn't help but be excited about finally returning home. Oh how I missed my house and my bedroom especially. And not waking up to a grumpy man in the dining table, oh the good days.

But one thing is, I will miss how easy I had it here, not having to do any work around the house. I will also miss the maids that work here, the ones I'd gotten close to recently.

I grabbed my suitcase out of the closet and began stuffing my clothes and belongings in. After I was done, I left my suitcase on the chair.
