"Thank you for the food." I heard a familiar voice
I looked back and there he was.
"Oh my god what is Kai doing here!?" I whispered and hid my face
"You good?" Sehun asked
"Yeah, no I'm totally fine." I fake smiled
I shouldn't ruin Sehun's birthday dinner. I'll just be careful.
"So you've been a bit busy lately, haven't you?" He asked
"Yeah, the wedding preparations." I dryly chuckled
My eyes darted to Kai quickly but then I looked back at Sehun. But obviously, he picked up on that.
He looked at Kai then back at me and raised an eyebrow. Crap.
"Should we leave?" He asked
"Why?" I pretended to be oblivious
"That." He pointed to Kai with his chin
"What?" I asked again
"Alright lets go." He said without even looking my way
"Wait no." I stopped him, "it's fine let's stay here and dine." I sat back down
He sighed and looked over to Kai, "I guess it's fine. Why is he everywhere." He muttered the last part loud enough for me to hear
I held back a chuckle. I looked at Kai one last time with sad eyes. If I had a normal life, could this be something?

"We better get going now." Sehun said
I stood and followed Sehun out to the car. It was a very quiet ride. I froze when I realized something. Wasn't this a date?
"Alright, this is your stop." He said
I quickly got out of the car and walked to my house when he suddenly called me. I looked back and saw that he had gotten out of his car. I stopped in my tracks and walked back to him.
"Hey." I called
"Hey." He said as he put his hands in his pockets
"I really appreciate you hanging out with me today. It was pretty fun." He awkwardly smiled
"I had fun too." I smiled to him
"And I should've said this a lot sooner," he started, "but I'm sorry for giving you such a hard time. I'll continue to work on myself. And I'll make it all up to you one day."
He looked down at me, and our eyes locked on each other. At that moment I studied all of his face features. I focused on every part of his face and stopped when I got to his lips.
I looked up at his eyes once more and found his gaze on my lips. It had gotten quiet for a few seconds, till we both realized what we had been doing.
"I uh-" he blurted
I cleared my throat and looked away. What the hell was that!? He turned around, looking embarrassed.
"I should get going now
I was so dazed I forgot to reply. He got back in his car and waved before leaving.
"Oh my god! What just happened!?" I yelled
One thing was, I couldn't erase that smile off my face. The memory of him looking at me with a smile kept replaying in my head. I went back inside with a huge smile.
I headed up to my room and got ready for bed, but that smile, it just won't come off.

I woke up feeling more tired than usual. Then I remembered the thing that kept me up last night. I shook that thought out of my head and jumped out of bed.
"What's for breakfast?" I asked
"Something light since we're having lunch with the Oh's." She answered
"What? How come you never tell me these things till the last minute mom." I groaned
"I forgot! its not like its gonna change the fact that we're going." She laughed
"I still need to be mentally prepared." I whined
"Aren't you and Sehun closer now? You're going to be fine."
"What are you saying." I groaned
Eventually I stopped whining and finished my food. I ran to my room to choose an outfit for lunch. I don't even have enough time to think about how I'm going to act around Sehun! I'm screwed.
I grabbed a nice outfit from my closet after careful thinking. Soon after we left the house we were in front of the Oh's front door. My heart started pacing while I was waiting for the door to open.
I rang the doorbell one more time and finally, a maid rushed to open the door. Huh, I guess I was anticipating too much.
But suddenly Sehun popped out from behind the maid and stood there. I didn't know what to do at first, so I just looked at him and smiled. He chuckled and gestured for me to come in.
"Hey." He looked at me, smiling
"Hi." I couldn't hold back the huge smile on my face either
"Come on in." He said as my parents walked in
He greeted my parents and led them to the living room while I followed behind.
After I greeted his parents, he pulled me and dragged me out of the living room. He's acting a bit weird.
"Wait, where we going?" I asked
"Just the backyard. We can talk about some stuff too." He answered
I nodded, feeling a bit worried but I still followed him out. He sat on a bench and I quickly sat down next to him. He looked at me for a second.
I lowered my gaze when our eyes met. My face suddenly turned hot so I looked down.
"Right, let's talk." He sighed and looked to the ground, "I'm a bit bothered by you." He spoke
My heart sank hearing him say that.
"W-what do you mean by bothered?" I asked
"You keep making me feel all weird inside." He said
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked
"Even I'm not sure" He sighed, "do you like Kai?" He asked
"Why are we suddenly talking about Kai." I chuckled
He sighed and his head hung down before smiling.
"I don't know, forget I asked." He smiled
"Kids! sorry to ruin your alone time but its time to eat." Mrs. Oh called out and went back inside
"Well you should've just told the maid to call us instead." Sehun whispered
"Well, I guess we should go inside now." I stood up and looked at him
"I guess so."
Sehun suddenly looked at me for a few seconds, then went back inside. I froze and cleared my throat then headed inside as well.
