Chapter Ten:Liberate, Loose Anger
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Isaac's POV

I waited, with only the blunt and annoying cashier, in the almost deserted gas station. I had to wait for him to arrive and instruct me what to do afterwards. Incubus was 15 minutes late, and I was a impatient and restless anger demon--which meant I got mad really fast.

I tapped my foot and flipped through a magazine, not actually reading it but only wanting something to do other than listen to the annoying cashier who was typing--loudly--away at his phone. Putting aside the flimsy magazine (which I had accidentally ripped), when I heard the doors slide open, I looked up to see incubus stroll in, looking around and sizing the cashier up. The cashier, Jordan--I could see his name on his name tag-- looked up from his phone and openly stared at Incubus' tall frame, almost-white blonde hair and his unique and peculiar and always deep red eyes.

Jordan stared, mouth slightly agape, at the inhuman teenager who had just walked in and strolled over to me. He shook his head as if trying to clear it of the cobwebs that were probably in there. Incubus and the other two night demons always had a effect on humans--so did we other demons, but our human bodies weren't actually our true form, so we seemed like every other human did.

"Isaac," Incubus greeted me and I nodded my head, insuring him that it really was me. He had beer seen me face to face (even though I've seen him almost all the time he visits Hell), and so being sure that the Devil sent the right handyman to do his dirty work, he made sure by kicking me hard in the jewels. When I didn't react, because it wasn't my body and I wouldn't feel anything, he nodded to himself and then turned to face the cashier who was staring at us with a amused, fearful and curious expression. I grinned at the cashier's face and Incubus started to take long, predatory and graceful steps toward the boy--Jordan.

Jordan looked from me to Incubus and froze his gaze on Incubus as he got closer and closer. Jordan stared up at Incubus, clearly interested and awed and freaked out by his inhumanness and his vibrant, deadly and deep red eyes--that he didn't bother trying to hide like he usually does.

"Well, this will be heart breaking...for you," Incubus whispers to Jordan, his expression set in stone and completely serious as he says it to him.

I lean forward, poised and ready to pull Incubus off of the poor, helpless, puny human boy, if Incubus decides to pounce on him and steal every single one of Jordan's thoughts and heart beats and breaths. My muscles tense as I realize how powerful and strong Incubus was compared to me. I secretly cursed at the Devil for favouring his night demons over us and for making them have so many more abilities than us; I realized i was feeling jealousy...I was never jealous of anyone or anything but I guess when it came to these night demons, every demon was jealous. They got the power, the abilities, the human faces and language. They owned the whole night, while we other demons got jealousy, envy and greediness as our powers and possessing beings that didn't want to be possessed as our abilities. Our faces and forms were so frightful, that we stopped to look in mirrors to see ourselves and how gangly and horrid we truly were, and that's where the whole myth of 'seeing demons and ghosts in mirrors' came from.

Watching from my spot, I decided that I could at least try to stop Incubus if he tries to hurt the pathetic human. I wasn't like most demons--I had feelings and I used my emotions.

Incubus stood, towering over the human boy. He looked down at him for the longest moment that I thought he would just scare or try to kill Jordan by staring at him with his fathomless, dangerous and steely, sharp gaze. Jordan opened his mouth then clamped it shut when Incubus took another step forward, being all up in Jordan's face, taunting and scaring him more than he already was.

"Leave." Was all Incubus said to Jordan and then waited for the other boy to answer. Clearly seeing how frightened Jordan was, Incubus waited patiently for the cashiers answer.

When Jordan didn't make a move to say anything or leave, Incubus had lost his patience and his calm. And maybe also his mind.

He stared down at him, glaring at Jordan with pure annoyance, impatience and profound anger and frustration. When Incubus got frustrated, it wasn't a good idea to stick around. I would know because I've seen his outbursts a few times and even I got freaked out but them.

"Leave." Incubus tried one last time but Jordan didn't move--he didn't even blink. I could see that Jordan did want to move--he wanted to run as far away as he could from us--but couldn't because every fibre of his being was frozen with fear; frozen with paralyzing, undeniable and overwhelming horror. He was stuck in his fatal spot until either his body finally--somehow--unfroze and he escaped, or, when Incubus showed his anger and directed at him.

I could feel the dark emotion rolling off of Incubus and started to slightly cower away. So much for trying to save Jordan's ass if Incubus tried anything on him. Now I knew that Incubus will not try something--he will force and inflect his annoyance and violent displeasure of Jordan towards him until the boy is either dead or knows that it would be a good time to leave with his precarious life.

I blinked and after that short millisecond, I opened my eyes and found Jordan on the floor, spasming and having a terrible seizure. Incubus had let go of his short temper and had caused Jordan to have a life threatening seizure, in the amount of time it takes someone to blink; for someone to take another breath; for another beat of their heart. But, looking down at Jordan's spasming body, it seemed as if he won't be able to have another calm, easy breath before his sputtering and gasping breaths take away his life.

Incubus stared down at Jordan who was staring up at him, horror and anguish in his slowly dying eyes. He sputtered up blood but kept his fearful gaze on Incubus as his eyes slowly closed.

Once Jordan stopped spasming and gasping and sputtering up blood, Incubus finally turned around and looked at me, his face grim and set in an expression of dangerous calm.

"Now, what were we talking about?"

Sorry for the wait :( and also for making this chapter so short (I had run out of ideas that would be intriguing but not to worry cuz the next chapter will be better I promise--someone will be finally meeting someone ;) )
