Harry's POV.

The plane ride home was shorter than I expected. It felt like forever though considering the urgency of the situation. I just wanted to get it over with as fast as possible so I could just hold her in my arms again. As soon as the plane landed and we were free to exit, I raced off to the the entrance of the airport.

I waved my hand for a taxi cab that waited out front and hopped into the back seat. "Please take me to this address, quickly!" I threw a piece a paper up front and leaned back in my seat. I needed to relax. My hands rested against my knees as my right leg tapped impatiently on the floor. This man couldn't drive any slower if he tried, it seemed. "Could you please drive faster? It's an emergency!" I pleaded with the elderly man.

"Sir, I can't go any faster than the speed limit or I'll be pulled over, and you'll really be late." He calmly replied. I sighed knowing he was right. So I stayed silent for the rest of the car ride.

It was about 45 minutes later when Tatum's neighborhood came into view. I saw an ambulance truck turning into her cul-da-sac, that's when it hit me. She didn't. "Stop the car!" I hit the back of the drivers seat repeatedly, I couldn't take the slowness of his driving any longer. His foot hit the break and before hopping out of the cab, I tossed him a stack of bills and took off down the street.

I got to her house as soon as I saw them wheeling a body out on a gurney. She did. I rushed over to the familiar woman slumped over in the driveway, crying into her hands. "What happened?" The words came out rushed as I bent down and rested my hand against the lady's back.

"I just wanted to talk to her..." Her voice trailed off as she inhaled deeply, allowing a few extra tears to seep from her eyes.

"What happened?" I repeated the question, I couldn't stand not knowing what happened to Tatum.

"Her wrists...they're all cut up...this is all my fault, isn't it?" She sobbed even louder, not even giving me a chance to answer the question. My worst fear at come to a reality. She had finally did it. Tatum had finally taken her own life. The worst possible scenarios played throughout my head. I just pictured Tatum screaming out for my help while she plunged that sharp object against her skin. And I wasn't there. I wasn't there to save her, so she dug deeper and deeper until the pain went away. This was all my fault.

Why didn't I chase after her that day? Why did I just kneel there, crying, like the pathetic piece of shit that I am? I should've went after her and maybe, just maybe, none of this would have happened. I would still have my beautiful baby girl wrapped up, safely in my arms.

I could feel my knees giving way as I stood up to confront the ambulance driver. "Hi, I'm her bo-I'm her friend...please just tell me she's okay!" I couldn't stand not knowing for sure, although I was sure I wasn't going to like the answer I was about to be given.

"I know exactly who you are, you and her have been plastered all across the media lately. Hop in with her, I'll explain on the way. I'm Kate, by the way." The lady hurriedly spoke. I thanked her repetitively before climbing into the back of the ambulance. And that's when I saw her.

"Tatum, baby..." I called out to her. But she didn't answer. Her lifeless body stayed still, and if it weren't for the faint beeping sound coming from the heart monitor, I would've suspected that she was dead. Her eyes were clenched shut, her lips were slightly pursed, and her face was paler than usual. I sat down next to her and placed my hand against her chin. "What did I do..." I mumbled, gliding my thumb across her cheek. I could feel slick droplets of tears roll down my face as I watched Tatum just lay there, motionless.

"I'm so sorry..." I leaned over to kiss her cheek, my hand still cupped her chin. "I love you so much and I'm so so sorry," I repeated, I just couldn't believe this was actually happening.
