I couldn't sleep it was around 11 pm. I heard footsteps around the house, but I didn't put so much attention to them. Not until I heard of footsteps that stopped in front of my door. Now I was worried of who it was. So I pretended that I was asleep.
Except that I was able to see through my eyelashes. The door opened to my room and in came Shawn. I wasn't expecting him to come in my room, especially this late at night.
Shawn kneels down beside me. I then open my eyes. I see Shawn only inches away from me. He then was surprised when I opened my eyes.
"I was- um... I was just...." he started stuttering out which made me giggle.
"No, it's okay you have nothing to worry about, Shawn.."
His face then looked relieved when I said that.
"Well, I'll be going now..."
For some what reason I didn't want him to leave. So I had to do something.
"Shawn.... its fine, you can stay here if you want to...."
Shawn turned around and started grinning and walked towards me. He went to the other side of the bed and got under the covers. I faced the other way trying not to look at him. I then feel his arms wrap around my waist.
I felt safe in his arms and that I was not alone anymore.
"Maria.... can I tell you something?"
"Yes you can Shawn..."
What he said next took me by surprise.
"I love you Maria..."
I knew what I said next I will never regret it.
"I love you too Shawn Mendes."
