Maddie's POV
I heard that Shawn released a new song April 20th. I decided to listen to it.
I opened my laptop and opened up YouTube. I searched for the new song and it popped up first. I plugged in my headphones and listened to it.
After the song finished, I was amazed.
He has come so far and I am just so proud of him. At this rate I couldn't wait to tell him that he did great.
I want to tell him in person, but that would have to wait for a few weeks.
"Oh fine!" I muttered as I grabbed my phone.
I decided to FaceTime with him.
"Oh come on pick up." I said.
After 5 minutes he finally picked up.
"Hey Maddie!" Shawn greeted
(If I haven't made it clear you two are friends.)
"Hey Shawn. I heard your new song. It's absolutely incredible!" I said.
He blushed. "I'm glad you liked it."
"Are you alright? You almost never blush." I pointed out.
His facial expression changed to nervousness.
"Uh yeah I'm fine." He replied, "Well, I have to go. Andrew wants me to get back to work."
"Bye." I said.
He must be hiding something. I wonder what it is. I thought.
-A Few Weeks Later-
I heard a knock at my door and I hurriedly opened it.
"Shawn!" I greeted throwing my arms around his neck in a hug.
"Hey Maddie!" Shawn chuckled.
I pulled away and asked, "How was your time on tour?"
"It was great." Shawn replied rubbing his neck.
"Are you okay Shawn you seem a little different." I said.
"Uh yeah. I'm fine." Shawn said.
Shawn's POV
Actually, I'm not.
I have something to tell Maddie but I don't know how.
"Maddie." I said.
"Yeah Shawn." She replied.
"I have something to tell you, but I don't know how." I said.
"Just spit it out. There's nothing to be afraid of." Maddie said.
"Well, I wrote the song about you." I said.
She looked shocked and excited.
"Wow that's really sweet of you Shawn! Thank you!" Maddie exclaimed.
She hugged me and I knew then that nothing can hold me back now.
