3rd POV

In October of 1989, 43 women were pregnant, but they weren't when the day began. Reginald Hargreeves adopted nine of these children and they became The Umbrella Academy.

Number One: Luther. He was extremely strong and had a connection to his adopted sister Allison.

Number Two: Diego. He was very skilled in throwing knives. Was very close to their mother.

Number Three: Allison. She had the power of persuasion. Was very close to her adopted brother Luther. "I heard a rumour..."

Number Four: Klaus. He could commune with the dead and is somewhat close to his brother Ben (who is deceased).

Number Five: Number Five. Had the power of teleportation and time travel. He went missing at 13 and came back 17 years later. Wasn't close to anyone.

Number Six: Ben. He could sprout tentacles from his torso. He is deceased for reasons unknown. He is close to Klaus, only because Klaus is the only one who can see him.

Number Seven: Vanya. Is claimed to not have powers, but is very skilled with the violin. Was pushed away from everyone because she was different.

Number Eight: Y/n. Has the power of distraction, like Sirens, hence her hero name and she also can see into the future. She is really close to her adopted brother Shawn, but is close with all of her siblings.

Number Nine: Shawn. Has the power of distraction, like his adopted sister Y/n and he is really close to her.

Your POV (2002)

"Number Five, no talking at the dinner table. You know this," Father demands.

"But why can't I time travel?" Five asks.

"You aren't ready, not yet," Father replies.

Five starts to storm out of the building but I run to him.

"Five come on! Listen to Father, he's only trying help you—help us. Don't go," I plead.

"Number Eight! Come here this instant! If he wants to go, let him go," Father yells.

I hug Five. "Come back to us," I whisper.

We break apart and he runs out. I walk back to my seat at the dining table between Klaus and Shawn. I look down and play with my food. While I'm zoned out, Shawn takes my hand and rubs the back of my hand with his thumb. I look at him and he smiles at me reassuringly. I smile back and all of us dig into the rest of our meals.

~Now~

I still live in this old house. After thirty years of my life, you'd think I would be moved out and have a life by now. Nope! My life is in the walls and engraved in the memory of my "father's" legacy.

I loved my Father, not as much as I should have, but I still did. No matter if he treated me as an object or an human being. I loved my mother more than anything. She may have been an android, but I didn't care and I still don't.

I wandered the halls of the empty house, only Pogo and Mom live in the house with me. Pogo is an advanced chimpanzee who has been an assistant and friend of Hargreeves. I finally find my room and memories flood back to me. All the times when I was depressed about what my powers brought, Shawn was by my side through it all. I loved him for it, possibly even more than just a brother. It didn't help that he was— and still is— handsome.

"He's your brother, you're still related." That's what you must be thinking right about now, but technically there's zero blood relation whatsoever. So I'm in the clear, but I couldn't help but think that it was wrong when I was younger. As I got older, I realized it wasn't that bad of a sin.

"Miss Y/n. Your siblings are starting to arrive," Pogo said, his voice snapping me out of my daydreams.

"Thank you Pogo, I'll be right down," I replied turning around and smiling slightly.

He smiled back and walked away. I sighed, it's been so long since I've seen all of my siblings, and we're getting together now because our father passed away.

I walked down the steps to find Allison in the lobby. She wore a dark blue top and black dress pants.

"Allison!" I called, smiling.

"Y/n!" She smiled back.

I rushed down the remaining steps to her and we hugged.

"It's been so long. I've missed you!" I exclaimed. "How's your career and family?"

She looked at me like I struck a nerve, "My career is going great, but family not so much."

I frowned, "I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's fine, I'm just glad to see you!" Allison said.

The door opened only to reveal Diego. He wore a black outfit fit for a vigilante. His clothes had pockets for his knives, so I was hesitant to hug him.

"I wouldn't hug me, unless you wanted to get stabbed," Diego warned, "accidentally of course."

I rolled my eyes. He's always had some hate for all of us.

"I'd want to hug you just so I could escape this house and taunt Klaus for the rest of his life. He did it to me, except he wasn't dead," I joked.

Allison laughed and I saw Diego chuckle a bit.

"You always had a sense of humor Y/n," Diego commented.

"Too bad Ben beat you to it," Allison replied.

"Yeah," I chuckled a bit.

God I miss him. The door opened again to reveal Shawn. I smiled, ran up to him, and hugged him. He hugged back.

"Y/n!" He laughed. "I missed you."

"I missed you too," I replied.

"Just make out already!" Allison groaned.

"Only if you and Luther do too!" I replied giving her the middle finger.

"Love ya too sis," she says.

"I heard my name," I hear Luther say from the top of the stairs.

"Luther hi!" I beam.

He chuckles and motions Allison to come with him.

"Get some Luther!" Shawn exclaims as both of them go up stairs.

Luther and Allison flip him off in sync as they disappear upstairs. I laugh so hard at this, I double over in laughter.

"So whatcha wanna do Y/n?" Shawn asks.

"I don't know Shawn, what do you wanna do?" I reply.

"I asked you first," Shawn says.

"I said I don't know. What do you wanna do? I mean we're back in the Hargreeves mansion," I mention.

Shawn's POV

Something inside of me took control and I suddenly got an idea.

"How about we go to that donut shop we used to sneak out to when we were kids?" I suggested.

"That's actually a good idea! Let's go!" Y/n replied, grabbing my hand and dragging me out the door.

⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳

"Hi Agnes!" Y/n greets.

"Hello you two! It's been a while," Agnes says.

"Yeah it has," I jump in.

She looks at me and her eyes widen.

"Wow. You guys have grown so much!" She mentions. "What'll it be today?"

"Two chocolate donuts please," I reply.

Y/n looks at me in surprise, "You remember after all these years?"

"Of course! Now let's sit down," I say.

We sit down at the bar and start talking about our lives when we left.

"So what have you been up to?" I asked her.

"I've been doing stuff. Still living in the mansion, still looking after Pogo and Mom," she says. "What about you?"

"I've been touring the world because of my career, so it's been really fun!" I smile.

"That must be nice. I wish I could do that, but someone has to look after Pogo and Mom so," Y/n replies.

Agnes brings our donuts and we dig in. I missed this. Sneaking out of the house, doing stuff teenagers do, being together. It always makes me feel like nothing could stop us.

Our eyes lock and my breath hitched. She always does this to me. Always makes me feel like my heart is going to bust out of my chest and the butterflies in my stomach are going to go insane. I lean in towards her and she does too. Our lips touch and our senses go numb. Y/n grips my hair and deepens the kiss, making it more passionate. Our lips move in sync and fireworks seem to go off around us while the world stops.

Your POV

I suddenly get a pain in my temples and I pull away as the pain increases. Reaching up to my temples, I whimper in agony.

"Y/n?" Shawn says, but I can barely hear him, as if the world is slowly fading away.

Everything goes black and I suddenly see ruble of the town. The mansion is now just bricks and there's nothing left. I look down to see two people under a few rocks. Blood and dust cover their bodies as their hands are intertwined.

The two people are Shawn and I.

I snap out of the vision, Shawn's hands are on my arms, probably shaking me out of it.

"Y/n, what did you see?" Shawn asks.

I reply, "Nothing. Absolutely nothing."

(I hope you liked this! I know it's really long, like 1,530 words long. Not including this author's note. I put a picture of the original Umbrella Academy up top. So yeah. Oh! And if I haven't done your request yet, I am working on it! I promise!)
