Your POV

I walked into Starbucks on a bitter cold day, wondering why it was so cold. Knowing the answer, I order a hot chocolate and sit down far away from the door.

It was December 23, 2018 and Christmas was coming fast, except I moved away from my family a few months prior.

"Order for Y/n L/n?" The cashier called.

I get up to go get my hot beverage and sat back down as the door bell jingled, signaling that a new customer walked in. As the door closed again, the bitter cold wind reached me at the far distance. I cursed under my breath, taking a sip of the hot chocolate in front of me.

"Can I sit here?" Someone asked.

I looked up, and to my amazement, Shawn Mendes was the person whom the voice belonged to. I wanted to crack a joke, but either I was frozen because of the coldness still or to his presence. What do I pick? I pick both.

"S-Sure," I stuttered, mentally cursing myself.

He gave me a warm smile as he sat in the chair opposite of me.

"I'm Shawn, but you probably already knew that," he introduced himself to me.

I chuckled lightly and gave him a smile, "And I'm Y/n. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."

"It's nice to meet you too, Y/n," Shawn replied, "I–um–couldn't help but notice how beautiful you looked when I walked in, so I was eager to meet you."

"I'm glad I caught your eye. Especially because I couldn't muster the courage to come talk to you myself," I laugh nervously.

"I was debating if I should walk over myself, so you're not alone. I can't believe I call myself a Gryffindor!" He laughed lightly.

We continue our conversation like this for a few more minutes until he had to go.

"It was nice getting to know you, Y/n," Shawn smiles as he gets up and pushes his chair back under the table.

"It was nice getting to know you too," I smiled back.

"How about we exchange numbers so we can keep in contact?" Shawn suggested, fishing for his phone inside his pockets.

I scream internally but reply calmly, "I'd like that."

He finally finds his phone and gives it to me and I give him mine. We input our numbers into each other's phones and swap back.

"I'm hosting a Christmas party tomorrow night and I would love it if you could come," Shawn mentions.

My smile widens, "I'll be there, just give me the details."

"Great! I'll text you later!" Shawn says as he waves at me and exits the cafe.

"See you later..."

This is an older imagine that I made a loooooonnnngggg time ago on. I originally wrote it on paper and I found said paper while cleaning my room. Of course I added a lot of stuff to it and edited it a bit. Hope you like it!
