Your POV
I ran down the street, hoping to get away from the person who kidnapped me. I was trying to get to my crush's house, after all he is one of my best friends. My legs gave out and I scooted backwards into a dark alley way. Of course it was a dead end.
Heaving out breaths, the person who kidnapped me was walking towards me with a knife in his hand.
"What do you want with me?" I asked, fear evident in my voice.
He smiled wickedly, his blonde hair and deadly poison ivy green eyes shining in the moonlight.
"Don't act all innocent, you know what you did," he smiled.
"What did I do?" I asked.
"You didn't help me when I needed you most. You stood by, doing nothing to save me from your best friend," he said.
I knew who he was now. Peter...
"Peter, I tried to do something. She even beat me because I was standing up for her victims!" I defended, "Don't do this to someone who was also her victim!"
Tears welled up in my eyes, my voice broke. I knew that there was nothing that could change his mind. What he set his mind to, there was nothing that could change it.
"Sorry not sorry. You didn't try to help hard enough..." then the blade came down, earning its place in my heart.
My vision was suddenly shrouded in white and my last thought was my friends, family, dreams never fulfilled, and most importantly... Shawn.
...1 week later...
I woke up suddenly one cold rainy day. My feet weren't on the ground and I could see all my friends and family gathered. What really stumped me was...they were at a funeral. I looked down to where my heart would be and a nasty wound from a knife was in its place.
I remembered that I was dead.
I could hear sobs as the pastor talked.
"A very good young woman, someone who had a future. Kind to everyone who met her, caring to others problems, and protective to those who hurt her in some way. Be it, her friends, her family, or her in general. Very talented, funny, generous,... young. We all mourn the death of this amazing young woman, who had so much in store for her. Now, I believe Shawn has something to say," he finished.
I could see Shawn nod and get up. He wore a black tux, with a f/c tie and flower. He knew it was my favorite color. I smile as he gets up to the podium and speaks.
"You all knew her as family or a friend. I knew her as my first love, most likey going to be my first and last. I loved-scratch that- I love her. Her personality fit her name. Y/n was so sweet, caring, funny, and beautiful. It's hard to move on, but she would want us to. Carry on, but we'll still miss her. It'll be even harder for some of us because she was an only child and my only love. If I was with her the night she was murdered, I could've prevented any of this from happening. All I can do is start helping others and try to move on. She was the light of our lives, and we know that no one can replace her. Thank you..." Shawn said, his voice breaking at a few points in his speech.
He liked me back. I smiled as my dad patted him on the shoulder, mom crying into dad. I never knew what kind of impact I had with those around me. Even though I kept secrets like any other human being, they made it seem like I was perfect. It's hard moving on into the Afterlife without those you love. But I'll meet up with them one day. I'll see them again one day, and that's all I can look forward to...
