"She has no idea does she?" Shawn asks.
"She has no idea." I laugh.

Jermey and Y/n comes in. Jermey first and Y/n second. Jermey was sort of calm, but Yn...no.
Your POV
I walk in and I see Shawn Mendes sitting beside Adam. Shock waves over me and I went nuts...
"Nope!" I smile and start to leave but Jermey wraps his arms around me, lifting me up and puts me in the room. (Me af)
"Dang it!" I mutter.
Shawn and Adam was still laughing.
"You planned this!" I exclaim, pointing at Adam.
He shrugs, "Maybe..."
I tap my foot rapidly as Shawn gets up and hugs me. I hug back.
"Hey." He greets, smiling.
"Hiii..." I smile like an idiot.
He chuckles and turns to Adam.
"She's cute." Shawn whispers.
My mouth gapes open. No... No he did not!
After I calmed the heck down, Adam told us the song we were doing.
"You both are doing 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' by this random person who's sitting beside me." Adam jokes.
"Yes!" I mutter.
Shawn smiles, "I have a feeling you know it by heart..."
I smile like an idiot and nod vigorously.
"Okay then!" Shawn says.
🎵Ah-ah, he-ey/Ah-ah, ah-ah/Ah-ah, he-ey/
Ah-ah, ah-ah/...🎵 I sing.
"Very powerful guys, but Y/n you need to use more of your diaphragm to harness more power. Now Jermey, you need to build your confidence cause your voice has a lot of range and we need to witness that." Shawn advises.
I nod, "Okay."
I couldn't keep it in, so I giggled.
"Oh God, I'm so sorry, I just can't do this." I apologise.
"Hey, it's fine. I mean I was like that performing with Austin and Taylor. So you're not alone." Shawn chuckles.
I nod, still smiling.

🎵I know...🎵 Jermey and I finish.
"Great job guys! Y/n, you're using that diaphragm more and I find more confidence in your voice, Jermey." Shawn compliments.
I grin, "Thanks..."
We were about to leave, to get ready for the battle until Shawn stopped me.
"Y/n!" He said.
I turned around to face him, "Yeah?"
He turned to Adam and he motioned him to go on. Shawn turned back to me and gulped.
"So, I was wondering if you'd like to hang out sometime? Get to know each other and maybe collaborate on a song or something?" Shawn suggested.
My eyes widened, "I'd be honored."
He smiled and he walked me out.

I tried my hardest, doing the best I could.
🎵I know...🎵 We finished.
I looked around to see where my parents were and Shawn was there too! I smiled as I looked back at the coaches.
They all said nice things about us, until it came down to Adam's decision. I was so nervous when he said, "The winner of this battle is..."
I held my breath, my head down. I am scared of the possibility of losing...
"The winner of this battle is Y/n." Adam announced.
My hand flew to my mouth in shock, tears started streaming down my cheeks. Through my blurry vision I could see Adam coming towards me to hug me. I hugged back repeating, "Thank you so much."
"You are amazing." Adam replied.
I could hear Shawn and my parent's screams. I went backstage and cried happy tears.
"Oh my God! This actually happened. This actually happened!" I muttered.

After the show, Shawn met me outside and his arms were open wide, reassuring me to come and hug him. I ran to him and jumped into his arms. I wrapped my legs and arms around him.
"I knew you'd win the battle!" He whispered in my ear, kissing the side of my head then burying his head in the crook of my neck.
"You mean so much to me. I don't know what I'd do without you." I mumbled into the crook of his neck.
"Luckily you won't have to find out." He replied.
God what would I do without this boy...
