  Shawn's POV
She always has a smile
From morning to the night
The perfect poster child
That was once in my life

I know a girl that smiles everyday, all day. She is the sweetest girl in school. We were friends for a long time, but when I started to tour we lost each other.

A doll made out of glass
All her friends think that she's great
But I can see through it all
And she's about to break

She was fragile in other's eyes. All her friends love her. But because she was fragile she was an easy target. She tried to put a smile on to hide the fact she was hurting. I saw it in her eyes when I was close enough to see it.

Remember last year when you told me
To always stay here and never leave me
The light from your eyes made it feel like
We were dancing in the moonlight

I remember when she made me promise never to leave her. I didn't keep it because of touring. I tried to keep in touch with her, but she was busy doing other things. Sometimes we danced when it was dark and the moonlight was reflecting off her eyes. It reminds me of those times...

Remember last year when you told me
That these will be lifelong stories
The light from your eyes made it feel like
We, we're dancing in the moonlight

She always said that each one of us are legends. That each one of us have legacies that people will tell beyond our time.

I still wish that I was there with her. But now I can't rewrite what I've done because she's gone. She already broke, and she is living a better life somewhere in the stars...

(Moonlight by Grace VanderWaal. I hope you liked it! It's my first time to do this sort of thing. I was listening to the song and thought, "This would definitely make a good chapter in my 'Shawn Mendes Imagines' book. So yeah.)
