Victoria's POV
I wake up and I feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I groan as Shawn turns over to me and asks what's wrong. Looking at the sheets, I immediately curse in my head. My water broke.
"Shawn, get the bag. She's coming," I say as calmly as I can.
I scream as another contraction hits. Starting to take big breaths, Shawn hurries and helps me get to the car, me not bothering to change. We get in and Shawn drives me to the hospital.
⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛
We get there and get checked in as a nurse gets me in a wheelchair. I grab Shawn's hand as another contraction hits. This baby is eager to get out.
Getting to the room, nurses help me get a hospital gown on and into the bed. The doctor checks to see how dilated I am and he's shocked.
"Miss, you're already ready for pushing," the doctor says amazed.
I look over at Shawn and he's right beside me.
"You'll do great Vic," Shawn smiles.
"Push..." The doctor tells me.
⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛⏳⌛
I suddenly hear my baby's cry and I start crying. The doctor and nurses get her cleaned up and I get to hold her. I look at her and study her features.
She has my nose, Shawn's lips, and as she opens her eyes, I see that she has Shawn's eyes.
"She's beautiful," I whisper and I look up at Shawn, "we're parents Shawn. I can't believe it!"
"I can," he replies.
I hand Shawn our daughter and he looks at her with all the love in his eyes.
"Hey hunny, it's your daddy. No boy is gonna break your heart on my watch," Shawn says to her.
"What are we gonna name her Shawn? I totally forgot," I chuckle.
"How about Vicky? Vicky Claire Mendes?" Shawn suggests.
"I like it, it suits her," I smile.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around me being a mother as Shawn starts singing to Vicky.
What a perfect family.
