Ronnie's POV

His chest heaving up and down.

His hair wet and slicked back.

His white t-shirt soaked through, showing every muscle.

His eyes glistening as the sunsets.

"Ronnie.." he says gently stepping forward.

Sending a quiet ripple across the pool.

"Colby" I say back, watching his eyes move like crazy.

"Veronica, I can't do this anymore" he says looking down.

My heart broke. Shattered.

"Wait no no no" I say shaking my head.

He looks at me confused.

"Please don't give up. Please don't leave me" I whisper, my voice cracking.

I knew this would happen..

Anyone I get close to, anyone I let myself love.

"Wait no what" he says moving closer with his hands on my cheeks.

His cold rings send shivers down my neck and to the tips of my toes.

"Ron, I would never leave you. Ever. I need you just as much as you need me. " he says kissing my forehead.

"I can't live without you" I say shaking my head.

"And you won't ever have to. I'm not leaving you" he says shaking my head a little as he moves his hands.

"Thank you Colby." I say hugging him.

My arms around his neck and his around my waist.

"Come on, let's go" he says smiling and holding my hand.

I nod my head, smiling.

I need this.

Reassurance.

I needed him.

"Hey why are you so smiley?" Elton stops me in the kitchen.

He smiles brightly.

"I'm just happy I guess" I say shrugging my shoulders.

"Good I'm glad"

We both laugh and high five.

Walking in different directions.

I start moving my arms around and swaying my hips.

I jump up the stairs and dance around the second floor.

I run to Colby's room and push the door open with a swift sway of the hip.

I hoola girl into his room and start twirling.

"Oh hello" he laughs.

I hear him stand up and walking closer.

I stop dancing for a moment.

A brief moment.

We are silent.

He starts to move his hips slowly.

I slowly join in.

Soon enough, we are dancing like we were at a rave.

Yet there was no music.

He was the best music.

The music that filed my ears.

And filled my lonely nights.

The most peaceful sound I've ever heard.

If this man was music, he would be a Mozart classic.

For this man was simply a masterpiece.
