Colby's POV

Her screaming still rang through my ears.

The sound of her hitting the ground and her head cracking against the marble.

Everything was a blur.

I couldn't think.

I just wanted to see her.

Where the hell was she?

I seen Sam shouting and running into the crowd.

Fans were screaming but all I could focus on was the path made.

I squirmed just thinking about it.

How she would of been dragged.

The pain and terror she must of felt.

And it was all my fault.

If I hadn't of let go of her hand she would be okay.

But I thought she would be okay because she has fans of her own to see to.

I turned around for just a brief moment and when I turned back around, she was gone.

If there hadn't of been a crowd of screaming people, there would only be one reminder that she was here.

Her blood.

Dripping down the side of the fountain.

Making a pool at the bottom.

I felt tears burning at the back of my eyes.

The crowd ran after Sam and Ronnie.

So it was just me and Brennen.

At the side of the fountain.

I was looking blankly ahead.

Feeling nothing.

Playing the scene over and over again in my head.

"Colby" I heard faintly.

I snapped out of it and took a deep breath,

"COLBY" I hear louder this time followed with Brennen shaking me.

"Where is she?" I cry out frantically,

"I don't know. Her and Sam ran inside. The crowd were stopped by security but there was more crowd than security." Brennen sighed,

"I jus- I can't do this" I say starting to cry.

Everything I had.

My whole world.

Was in danger.

And there was nothing I could do.

Heck I didn't even know if I could help her,

"COLBY smack out of it man and come on" Brennen said sternly and grabbed my shirt.

Brennen runs ahead.

Something snapped inside of me.

I take of sprinting, passing Brennen.

I reach the glass door and push it open.

Slamming it against the wall making a horrendous noise.

I come to a hault, searching for the crowd as my only indication as to where the love of my life and best friend were.

My head snapping from direction to direction.

Looking and looking.

Listening and hearing.

Brennen stops behind me and points to a group of people,

"Come on" he says pushing me forward.

We both run towards the crowd.

Soon enough, we were swarmed again.

I hear a high pitch scream.

A scream all to familiar,

"Veronica!"
