SIKE NO SEQUEL YET
Ronnie's POV
Have you ever been so scared that you wished that you would die?
Wished that you were anywhere else in the world.
Have you ever had the feeling that someone was lurching and watching you from a distance?
Like someone was breathing down your neck.
I was feeling everything.
The burning breath and the hope of death.
Everything was perfect before.
My life was exactly how I wanted it to be.
Everything i had dreamed for since i was little.
I was somewhere cold, somewhere dark and musty.
It smelled like gas and I heard a low hissing noise.
I felt warm liquid oozing from my nose as it dropped onto the floor that echoed throughout the industrial state.
I could work out the shadows of heavy machinery and wires dangling from the ceiling.
It would explain the chemical smell but not the hissing.
Any sudden movement would frighten me.
My own unsteady breathing would send shivers across my shaking skin.
A door about a hundred feet away opened.
I clearly underestimated the size of the building.
The door looked miniature and the light seeping in only covered a small part of the floor.
A figure appeared in the silhouette of the door, blocking the first light I had seen in hours.
Days even.
At least it felt like it.
My eyes felt heavy and my whole body ached against the wood.
I hadn't slept in a while.
I feared that something would happen to me while I was sleeping.
You are most vulnerable when you are in a blissful state.
And let me tell you,
I did not feel Enlightened at all.
The figure started to walk closer and the click click of heels sounded throughout the warehouse.
It was rhythmic.
Almost as though it was planned.
Everything was set up to the finest detail.
They wanted me to sit here.
