Ronnie's POV

We grab our bags from the trunk and make our way up the path.

Colby places his bag on the wooden porch and turns to look at me.

He smiles bright and places a hand on my cheek.

He kisses me.

He had never kissed me like this before.

It was slow and gentle.

He cherished it almost.

And so did I.

Yes we have kissed with a passion but this..

It was different.

A good different.

He picks his bag back up and smiles at me one last time.

KNOCK KNOCK

I hear footsteps from behind the door.

The sound of shoes on wood growing greater.

The sound stops for just a second.

The lock turns and a wave of excitement washed over me.

The handle went down and the door opened.

A long creak followed as the door fully opened.

A red headed girl stood there.

Hey!" She exclaims and wraps her arms around Colby.

"Hi, miss me?" He says with a light laugh.

"You have no idea" she says letting go of Colby and fixing her top.

"There is someone I would actually like you to meet" Colby says turning to me.

His smile eased everything.

"Ronnie this is Nicole. One of my cousins and unfortunately the only one you will be meeting because the others are with there families and being boring." He says gesturing with his hands.

We all laugh.

"And this is Ronnie. My girlfriend" he says focusing back on me.

"YESS FINALLY ANOTHER GIRL" Nicole screams and hugs me.

I laugh and hug her back,

"Nice to meet you too" I say patting her back.

I look over to Colby and he is smiling at us hugging.

She lets me go and welcomes us inside.

I pick up my bag and walk through the door.

I follow behind Colby and Nicole.

We walked down a long hallway, decorated with tons of pictures.

Photos of Colby and his family.

I stop to look at them.

A big photo of Colby in a soccer uniform and long brown hair.

He still had the same smile.

Nothing has changed really.

"Babe?" I hear, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I turn my head around to see Colby standing there in the door frame.

"Sorry I'm coming" I say hurrying to his side.

I stop at the door he is standing in.

There they were.

His parents.

His father with thick brown hair, just like Colby.

Tall and lean.

Just like Colby.

His mother also with thick brown hair but she was small.

Just like me.

"Mom. Dad. This is Ronnie"
