Sam's POV

It was so nerve racking waiting in this office.

Waiting to see Ronnie.

If anything I was excited.

Colby asked me to go since he couldn't.

I was more than glad.

Beacsue the news I got today was the best I had heard in a long time.

He asked me everyday if they had called.

Since I went with her to check her in, they had all my information to give us updates.

I was lost without her but he knew that she needed this.

She needed time.

Everytime my phone rang, he would be at the foot of my bed.

I always felt heartbroken after I seen the look on his face when I told him that it wasn't the hospital.

He would just smile lightly and tread back into his room.

I had to keep my door open always because I was terrified that he would do something.

I didn't like to think this way but I couldn't help it.

I couldn't bare to lose another bestfriend.

***

I was sitting at my desk, editing my YouTube video for tomorrow.

My phone started to vibrate and ring on the wood next to me.

As always, Colby was here in a matter of seconds.

I hated having to tell him that it wasn't any new updates.

I smiled at him and he knew what that smile meant by now.

He stood up and walked to the door.

I answered my phone,

"Hello?"

"Dr Tryner?" I said into the phone.

This was the first we had heard from her since the first night that Ronnie checked in.

Colby stopped in his tracks and turned around.

I seen worry wash over him as he stood still.

Not daring to move a muscle,

"Is she okay?" I said with concern.

We couldn't see her so we were always in contant stress.

She could take a turn for the worst at any moment,

"What today?" I said with excitement.

I could see my Bestfriend.

I was allowed to go and see Ronnie.

"Wait are you sure?" I said into the phone with disbelief.

***

I heard a faint knock at the door.

I stood up and adjusted my jacket.

The door opened and there she was.

In her favourite blue pyjamas and white fluffy socks.

She started to cry, with happiness I hope.

I never realised how I much I missed her up until now.

I held open my arms and she ran at me.

Her body slammed against mine and her arms wrapped around me tightly.

I held her and whispered into her ear,

"Nice pyjamas, loser"

She laughed,

"God I missed you so much"
