Colby's POV

"Colby?" I hear from the doorway in front of me.

I looked up to see Aaron in the door way,

"Hi" I say trying not to be boring and depressed.

I catch a glimpse of his face and it was different.

His eyes seemed more open and his everything was brighter.

He seemed happier,

"I was going to play some videos games downstairs and I was wondering if you wanted to join?" He said with a chipper.

I felt like I was being pranked.

But I really wasn't in the mood,

"Aaron I'm really not in the mood for a stupid prank right now" I said in annoyance.

Playing some joke on me isn't going to cheer me up,

"No honestly I just want to play video games" he said with his hands up in defence.

I get myself out my bed and walk downstairs,

"Where is Sam?" Aaron asked as I sunk into the couch in the game room,

"He is at the hospital getting updates about Ronnie" I reply, breaking down a little everytime I say Ronnie.

It's only a month left.

1 month.

Aaron switched on the WII and grabbed me a control,

"Thanks" I say taking it from his hands,

"Do you miss her?" He turned to me as the game was loading,

"Don't you?" I said bluntly.

Of course I miss her,

"Yeah. It's not the same without her here" Aaron says pressing "START".

It was around 30 minutes into playing games with Aaron when he switched off the console,

"What you don't want to play anymore?" I asked him in confusion,

"No and neither do you" he smirked as he walked out of the room.

What the hell?

I do want to play video games that's why I came down here in the first place.

Everyone had been acting weird today, happy and excited.

I'm glad that one of us is happy and excited about something.

I sighed and got up off the couch.

Slumping down the hallway to the stairs.

Hearing my feet shuffle against the floor that echoed through the house.

I held the railing because I felt as though I would fall if I didn't.

I had no energy and it felt like I was carrying a box of weights.

I reached the landing to the second floor eventually.

As I was walking back to my room, I caught a glimpse of colour out the corner of my eye.

I inhaled and exhaled slowly.

Trying my best to ignore it.

Its crazy that something beautiful and fun can bring someone so much pain.

The cluster of handprints lining the end hallway walls.

The wooden floor boards hadn't been scrubbed clean but the wall was left to remain.

As a memory, memorial even.

I couldn't resist.

I hadn't even walked down that hallway since Ronnie had left me.

I slowly but surely shuffled down the long walls.

Tracing my fingers of the handprints but I stopped at one.

At the very end of the hallway.

My yellow handprint and another smaller blue handprint.

Ronnie's small handprint,

"Colby?" I hear from behind me,

I turn around, quickly wiping my eyes.

It was Corey and Devyn.

And Elton.

And Aaron.

I move my head to the side slightly in confusion.

It was reapeated feeling today,

"What?"
