Hey guys! I'm back! I'm super sorry for the late chapter...!!! It took me so long to get right... Please enjoy!

************

Rin gazed up at the stony ceiling of her bare prison. Kakashi, Obito, Minato-sensei... Hang in there, I'll be back soon. Then, we'll all be together again. Reunited. Fami-

Her train of thought broke off abruptly when she heard the door leading to the dungeon click open. The medic jolted up, instantly on guard. She relaxed when she saw a mop of red hair bobbing into view.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"In here, Deidara," Sasori instructed as he stiffly led his partner into the dungeon. He searched the rows of cells for Rin, eyes involuntarily lighting up when he spotted a head peeking out. She waved.
"Sasori! Good morning!" He gave a small wave in return, suppressing his smile. The redhead turned back to the blond and pointed her out.
"There you go," he said. Giving the kunoichi one last glance, he slipped out of the dungeon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Deidara hesitantly walked up to the cell where the girl was, remaining on guard from what had happened the day he captured her.

"Hi," she greeted. "Deidara, right?" He nodded, narrowing his eyes at her. The girl seemed to remain indifferent to the coldness he was displaying as she continued to smile at him.

"Mmm... So you're watching me today?"

"Yup. What is there to do here, hmm?" he asked, stubbornly avoiding her calm gaze.

"Nothing much..." the girl replied. "By the way, I'm Rin." She held a fist out. The  blond gave her a fist bump. Okay, so she's not that bad.

"So, Deidara... Tell me about yourself!" The sculptor lit up, letting his guard fall at last.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rin let her guard slip off casually. After meeting Sasori, she grew increasingly curious about the members of the Akatsuki.
I want to learn about them. I want to...
She stopped her thoughts to listen to the blond's reply.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Yes, sure! I came from... Uhh... Iwagakure." Anger sparked in Deidara's eyes when he said the village's name. That cursed village.

"I see. Well, tell me about your hobbies!" He was glad that she did not push on. Deidara immediately brightened up.

"I love art, yeah!" he exclaimed, becoming giddy with excitement. "Art is an explosion!" The sculptor grinned. In front of him, Rin's chocolate orbs lit up with amusement.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, he sure is bright.
"Oh? Can you show me?" she asked.
"YES! Totally!" The blond leaped up and ran off. "I'll be back in a sec!"
Rin looked after him, a smile playing at her lips. She let loose a small giggle. Eccentric. That's the only word to describe him.
"I'm back!" A loud shout interrupted Rin's thoughts. Deidara was grinning from ear to ear, carrying a bag twice his size. He dropped it with a thump.
"Look at this, look at this, un!" the blond squealed. From the bag, he grabbed a ball of clay and mysteriously molded it into a bird within a few seconds. Brandishing it in front of Rin's cell, he beamed. "Watch."
