Hey! I'm back, and I bring another chapter with me! Enjoy, my amazing readers!

Kakuzu cursed under his breath. Why do I need to watch the darned kid? He could have been sent on a mission. He could have been out killing people... but noooooo, of course, he was blessed with the task of watching over a little girl.
"Pathetic," he spat out.
"That's offensive, you know," a voice said. His eyes swiveled over to look at the girl. She smiled and stuck her hand out. "I'm Rin!"

The setting sun blazed, and a shadow cascaded in front of Rin. She gazed out after Kakuzu. He's an interesting one, isn't he, that Kakuzu? She smiled. I hope I was able to crack his wall, if only just a little bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kakuzu leaned against the wall beside his room, gripping his head. He sighed.
Did I really just let a little kid get through to me?
Ringed eyes scanned over papers that were continually stacking up. Setting guards to watch that girl is taking its toll on us.
Time seemed to freeze.
Pein's eyes widened for a fraction of a moment.
No way. I didn't.
He furiously scanned his papers again for a loophole in his observations.
No.
Unfortunately for him, there was none.
Darn it.
The Akatsuki leader buried his head in his hands, cursing his idiocy.
I just sent all of my members out for missions.
"Ahhh," Pein muttered in defeat.
I am god, he reminded himself. I. Am. God.
"And 'god' is a nut head!" Rin exclaimed, complete with air quotations. "You've finally done it! Sent all of them out on missions, didn't you?" Pein shot her a withering glare. In return, the little medic only laughed.
"You suck," he muttered, turning red. She pouted.
"Hey, don't look at it like it's such a bad thing! Hanging out with me isn't all that bad..." A doubtful look headed Rin's way. She puffed her cheeks out indignantly . "Well, at least..." Pein paused in his rant about godliness to watch her curiously.
"What?" he asked monotonously, shielding his inner curiosity.
"...I had fun with them," she murmured quietly. A quiet "humph" was heard from Pein.
"I cannot imagine. They are more of nut heads than I can ever be." A small, tinkering laugh emitted from the girl in front of him.
"Oh yeah! I promised to tell you how I got to Sasori last time, right?"
"I see you remembered."
"Of course! I'm sorry I couldn't tell you earlier than this... Sasori's condition stabilized, so I couldn't stay out there any longer."
"You intrigue me. How did this happen?"
"Well, here goes..."
