"Whoa. That's big, but I guess so. I'm up to it if you are. Can't let my best friend best me at being a rebel, now can I?" Itachi sent a smirk over to the kunoichi who had broken into his room.
"Oh, I totally am up to it! BUT. We use Transformation."
"Come on. A quick Genjutsu will do the trick. No Transformation, please." Rin rolled her eyes good-naturedly.
"We know you're an Uchiha. We know you're the prodigy." She grinned. "Just be a normal Academy student, you know!" Itachi pouted and glared at her, but his eyes only held affection and fondness.
"Besides," Rin said. "Kakashi has a Shari-"
"FINE."
Immediately, Rin grabbed him by the arm and pushed him out of his open window, jumping out after him. Itachi rubbed his head from where he had hit a tree.
"You know we're on the second floor, right? The hideout is really tall."
"Last I heard, the hideout was underground. Don't ask me, 'Tachi-nii."
"Didn't you climb in through the window?"
"Oh yeah. Well, sorry, because I forgot." Rin stuck her tongue out and scratched the back of her head sheepishly.
"Well, you sure are behind on your blueprints."
"No one gave one to me! Come on," Rin said, tugging on his arm. "Let's go before we get completely drenched! We'll go visit Sasuke-"
"Okay, enough," the Uchiha interrupted. "I'm totally in now." The medic laughed.
"I knew Sasuke would get you headfirst into the village!"
"Well, duh. Family above all."
"Ouch." Itachi turned onyx eyes to her, then ruffled the kunoichi's hair.
"You count."

Tripping on a branch, a chestnut-haired boy fell headfirst into the fluffy Konoha snow. Behind him, a raven-haired girl landed, hands flying to her mouth in an attempt to control her laughter.
"OMG! I jinxed it again! Are you okay?" Rin helped Itachi up, laughing at his embarrassed pout. "Your Transformation looks really cute."
"So does yours." Itachi took in her raven hair, cascading down her shoulders; her bright, teal eyes that were tinged with violet; her slightly flushed cheeks from the cold. "I still prefer the normal one, though."
"Aww, you're sweet." Rin brushed the snow off of the Uchiha's jacket, earning herself a grunt of protest. "Anyways... I'll call you... Jun?" Itachi was silent for a moment.
"...Obedience? Seriously? I was thinking Jin for you."
"Gentleness? Awww~" She gave him a hug. "Great minds think alike! Okay then! We're officially siblings!" They laughed, and together, said the same thing.
"Welcome home."
With the mutual agreement on the surname Hirayama, the two set off, passing the village gates without a sound or sight.

"Ooh, Jun! Here's the Academy! Brings back memories, doesn't it?" Rin lowered her voice for the last sentence. Beside her, Itachi nodded. "Let's go in and check them out. Betcha Sasuke is in there."
