Hello! Here's another chapter for my wonderful readers! You guys are making my day! :)

The mission had gone by fairly fast, the two shinobi - particularly Sasori - unwilling to stay longer than needed. However, the two had run into trouble during their brief stay at Iwa, and that was what Rin found herself pondering over the day after they returned. She shuddered as she recalled what had happened in the battle.

Rin grabbed Sasori and hauled him out of Hiruko, right before half of it blasted into pieces. The redhead cursed and squinted from the sudden exposure to sunlight.

"Hiruko... Godamm- Ugh," he muttered. "Now I have to rebuild him."

"But at least you're okay," Rin replied. Suddenly, she realized that her Kekkei Genkai was still on from when she had been about to use it to check the poisoned bodies, and closed her eyes briefly to change them back to normal. "Tsuchikage-sama says that we can damage the village because most people have evacuated, but we have to try and keep it at a minimum."

"Well, that's a relief. I think I tore down a quarter of the village already," the redhead muttered. Rin shook her head, smiling.

"I like how the Akatsuki members are always really cool and collected in all their battles. It's like nothing fazes us."

"Your first sentence is pretty accurate, but your second one is not. Because we are the Akatsuki, we are targeted by the strongest of the strongest. And I hate to admit this, but he's strong," Sasori informed. "He uses poison."

"Hey, hey, hey. I'm a girl, you know," a voice sang. Rin threw kunai at the voice. "Oh no, you're not. That's my strength." Kunai, shuriken and senbon came flying towards the pair. They dodged without difficulty.

"Watch out," Sasori warned. "They come back." Once more, the pair avoided the weapons - but with a struggle. The redhead landed on the ground and stumbled.

"Sasori!" Rin exclaimed. "Are you hurt?" Sasori shook his head in reply and stood up.

"No," he said, staring ahead. Blood spilled onto the sand of Iwagakure. "...Maybe a little."

"Go back," Rin commanded. The puppet master refused.

"I'm not leaving you here to fight that psychopath alone," he muttered.

"Go. You can't fight in your condition. Come back when that piece of wood is gone from your leg and that spike from your stomach."

"How'd you know?" he grumbled.

"Oh... I didn't know. Don't ask me. Just go."

"Aww, how cute! Is the girlfriend trying to protect her injured boyfriend?" the voice cooed. Both ninja growled.

"I'm not leaving," Sasori tried again.

"You are. Now," Rin replied firmly. "Look, get yourself healed and come back as soon as you can and help me out. Please?" At last, the redhead obliged.

"Girls are so stubborn," he muttered as he turned and leapt away. "Everyone's going to have my head for this." Despite the situation, a smile made its way up Rin's face upon hearing her friends brought up.

"Don't let the weapons touch you, or you're dead meat," Sasori called.

"Got it!" Rin replied. She turned to confront the woman who showed her face at last. In her hands was a scroll.
