Hello! I hope you guys have all been having a great week! Enjoy the new chapter!

Rin's eyes fluttered open. She found, yet again, weight on her stomach - and quiet snoring coming from there. The medic could barely contain her giggle.
I wonder where this deja vu is coming from... she mused sarcastically.

Sasori opened his eyes.
A dreamless sleep...?
"Morning, Sasori," a voice said, laced with amusement. The redhead felt an immediate sense of dread and embarrassment wash over him.
Oh no. Not again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rin watched, amused, as Sasori removed himself from on top of her stomach. She knew he was very embarrassed.
"Chillax, Sasori," she said, stretching. "How was sleep?"
"Decent for the first time in two years," he replied, voice husky and deep. She laughed.
"Your morning voice is cute," she said.
"Oh, shut up." He threw his cloak on, shooting her an annoyed but affectionate glance. "Let's go."
"Man, I'm not used to missions after so long," Rin said, as she hoisted herself onto her feet. Sasori sent a questioning glance her way. "You'll find out eventually, trust me." He did not press on.
The mission came and went, the two shinobi running into trouble as they expected - but more than they thought. The many poisoned bodies, the opponent in the big battle, and the words spoken during that battle had Rin shaken to the core. There was a dangerous threat posed, and there was something deadly lurking in the shadows. It was in the span of a mere one day, as they had been attacked mere hours after arriving. Rin could see that Sasori was desperate to leave the moment he set foot into the Village of Iwagakure.
Rin had used the code name "Wolf" and slipped Itachi's ANBU mask on before embarking on the journey that morning. The Tsuchikage had mistaken her for the Uchiha when they first met. In the rough battle, Hiruko had blown apart, and Sasori could only have sealed his remains in a scroll for fixing. Neither Rin nor Sasori had been able to find the antidote - nor the base, or even the path - to the poison. They had no idea how to extract it safely. Other than temporarily driving the person who poisoned the people away, they had done nothing.
After cleaning their wounds, the shinobi took their leave with heavy hearts.
"Thank you, Wolf. Thank you, Sasori-" Rin heard the redhead's irritated growl. "You have my gratitude. Even driving that shinobi away is a help. Here's some money-"
"Keep it." The two interrupted the Tsuchikage simultaneously.
"We've done virtually nothing, so I don't think we should take the money, Tsuchikage-sama. Please keep it and use it to find a cure for your people," Rin said. Onoki nodded in thanks and took the pile of money back.
"Harumi would have been proud."
Rin knew that the Tsuchikage had said the wrong thing when Sasori roared in rage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You have no right to say that, you murderer! Harumi was happy where she was, and you had to come and ruin it! You had to come and kill her!"
